10 Creative DIY Halloween Costumes for Kids

It’s almost Halloween and if your Kids are anything like mine they will simply love dressing up in a cool yet unique scary outfit. These Easy DIY Halloween costumes for kids that will be easy to recreate and hopefully give your neighbours a fright.

Ok, so lets not frighten the neighbours too much, but we need to earn our candy when we say “TRICK OR TREAT”. These crafty, do it yourself ideas will make your kids feel proud to be one of the ghoulish trick or treaters this Hallows Eve.

So, before the 31st October is upon us. Why not use these Halloween ideas to plan the scary days and to create a your own version of the DIY Halloween costumes for your kids.

1. BeetleJuice DIY Halloween Outfit for Kids

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice this DIY Halloween costume from the 1988 movie erm… Beetlejuice! I think this little fella would give the actor Michael Keaton a run for his money for the leading role in this scary attire. This DIY BeetleJuice Costume can be found here.

2. Edward Scissor Hands DIY Halloween Outfit

Dear god! The Edward Scissor Hands from 1990 was a great flick. This starred Johnny Depp playing a friendly gentleman with Scissors for his hands.  This Halloween costume for kids really looks special and most certainly would have your neighbours thinking twice about saying they would like a “TRICK” instead of the “TREAT”! 3. SAW Doll Halloween Costume

This film still makes me feel squeamish! ha. However, you could really enjoy having your kid turn up on Halloween wearing this SAW Doll Halloween Costume and maybe you could go as far as getting the bike too. This creative parent from the Imgur community did just that!

Oh, Hocus Pocus was a film that most parents will remember when they were growing up! The 1993 Witch flick was led by the wonderful Bette Midler and you could recreate her character Winifred Sanderson Halloween costume for your little trick or treaters. I found this costume here totally love this.

6. Teen Wolf DIY Costume Halloween Costume

Anyone remember Teen Wolf? Well, this mum decided to dress her kids up in this DIY cosutme and he looks awesome! This literally only takes 10 minutes to make and does the 1985 flick proud, he would give Michael J Fox a run for his money! You can find the full tutorial here.

7. A Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Halloween Costume

101 Dalmations was released in 1961 but who could forget Cruella Deville? This wonder outfit looks totally amazing and would make a super idea for a DIY Halloween Costume for your kids.
