Craft|How to Make DIY Bracelets from Pegs

July 31, 2014 | 13 Comments

The new craze sweeping the world is Lume Bands and I have to say I love them too! (I mean who doesn’t right). Anyway, It got me thinking what else would be considered a cheap and easy way to entertain children for next to no money at all. We all have pegs, but have you ever thought about transforming them into a funky stylish DIY bracelets?

Below I have made a step by step guide to creating your very own batch of DIY bracelets made out of your pegs, which can be blinged up or made to look extremely stylish with charms and colour.learn to make beautiful peg bracelets

These stylish home made bracelets are sturdy, fun and you will probably find yourself wearing them all day long without even realising it. I would recommend this Craft Idea for older kids, or for younger children who have some adult supervision.

Let us get started, you are only 6 steps away from having the most amazing piece of unique and customised jewellery for under a pound and in very  little time at all.

Making DIY Bracelets Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Purchase pegs for your beautiful bracelet. I picked mine up from ASDA for £1, you won’t be spending a penny more unless you choose to customize this  bracelet.

Step 2: Twist your peg either clockwise or anti clockwise until you release the middle brace which holds the peg together.

Step 3: Repeat Step 2 until you have the desired amount of peg braces for the size of your wrist.

Step 4: Place the brace ends inside of the hole on each side of the peg brace. (This can be a little tricky at first so i think it may well be best for adults to help out here).

Step 5: Repeat the above until you have a length of peg braces linked together, then measure them around you wrist for to ensure your bracelet fits.

Step 6: Wrap the braces around your wrist and hey presto you know have a super home-made stylish bracelet.

See the images below which will guide you through the process, I have also included a YouTube video showing you how I made my very own DIY bracelets.
