Skylanders Trap Team Launch VIP day

Last weekend five days before the eagerly anticipated, Skylanders Trap Team hits ourselves, my son Jake was invited to one of the most exciting events in a child’s calendar, The Skylanders Trap Team Launch VIP day.

Jake is a massive Skylanders  fan collecting  Skylanders figures since the very first video Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure game was released in October 2011. He has a prodigious amount of Skylanders, in fact every Skylanders figure that has been released including the other great games Skylander Giants & Swap-force.  Unfortunately  some of the very, very rare hard figures to find, which unfortunately are more common  in the USA than the UK have been a little harder to obtain just yet.

Excitement for  Skylanders Trap Team

We have been on a countdown for the new Skylanders game for months, so you can imagine the excitement when I told Jake that he would be attending a very special Skylanders Trap Team Launch party  in London as a  VIP reporter for FUN KIDS RADIO. On Sunday 5th October, Jake and my husband set off on the journey to the Southbank in London, invitation in hand and excited to be one of the first to experience the gameplay and meet other Skylanders Fans.  They arrived at the venue, which was decorated amazingly with a Skylanders Trap team theme, which was a set fitting for children and adults alike. The Children were all allowed to play the game in different formats Wii u,  XBox one  and on a mobile platform (Which looked amazing because the mobile game was set up inside of cages). All the children got a special Skylanders Trap Team wristband and lanyard with details of all the areas they could visit.

The special Skylanders Trap Team launch party areas were:

Vikage

This area was reserved for only the most important portal Masters. You could practice your trapping skills away from prying eyes. No parents were allowed in this area.

Kaos Karicatures

In this area special artists created caricatures of you in Kaos cape, which was a really great and fun idea making the kids skylanders.

Brawl and chain Balloon Master

Here you got the chance to have a balloon model made of Kaos to take home with you!

Trapping practice sessions

Exciting opportunities to play the game before the official launch date on all platforms mentioned above.

Sheep Creeps Tasty Treats

No party would be complete without ice cream, kids could visit the ice-cream station as much as you liked!

Pain –Yatta

Twitter event – Piñata of Villain PAINYATTA,  which you could #hitpainyatta to watch live a machine with a baseball bat to whack it to retrieve a ton of sweets.

Jake loved playing the new Skylanders Trap Team game and cannot wait for Friday 10th October when the game is launched here in the UK

After spending the day playing the new game and visiting all the special Skylanders Trap Team area, mixing with celebrities including my favourites Ben Shepard and Danny Dyer! When it was time to leave all the Kid’s were given a very special Skylanders Trap Team goodie bag filled with sweet treats and a pack of the new Skylanders Mini Figures.
