With the new year 2015 fast approaching, these great on trend makeup looks will see you looking smoking hot throughout the festive period and beyond. These are great new looks from one of my personal best makeup brands No 7 by Boots.
As part of the No7 challenge, I had to switch from my usual makeup look which has seen me through most of my adult life to be honest. I have always been a little afraid to experiment too much, probably a little stuck in a makeup rut. I have always tried to come up with cute makeup ideas rather than sultry and sexy looks. This was all set to change when I saw some of the new products in the No7 makeup range.
The new colours and pallets on offer were definitely different to what I was used to wearing and I would never normally walk into a shop to purchase Navy eyeshadow and eyeliner! This type of colour was something I would perhaps purchase as a gift for my sisters or I would generally shy away from them myself. Personally, I have only ever applied 1 or 2 colors quite boring colours at most.
I love seeing nice makeup looks and I want to feel daring and confident enough to achieve them. I have decided to come up with a new on trend beauty look for the 2015 that will make me look a lot different than I usually do.
So, After a little trial and error I believe I have now come up with my new makeup looks using the No7 Range to make me feel a little more tada!
Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation Light/Medium Coverage, Perfect for all skin types
Price 14.50
I applied the foundation with a makeup brush using even strokes for both looks, which gave me a great workable layer! Easy to apply and in my own opinion one of the best foundations i have used on my skin.
Price £7.50
This is an award winning concealer which hides everything any spots, blemishes and wrinkles. This concealer can be used with the No 7 match made colour chart making sure you picked the right concealer for your very own skin type. I used the Honey coloured concealer to achieve both of my perfectly desired makeup looks, gently dabbing and rubbing it on using my finger to cover any of my own blemishes.
Natural Blush Cream
Price £8.00
I used this blusher cream to build up a layer of colour on my cheeks to make them stand out a little more. The blusher has added vitamin E and Provitamin B5 to help protect your skin.
Achieve the 1st of these Makeup Looks!

For the first look I applied this eyeshadow on the upper and lower eyelid working my way from the lightest of the trio of colours using only the darkest colour on the lower lid. I think this gave the best results for me!
Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil
Price £6.50
I used this wonderful pencil eyeliner to achieve a deep blue coat to both the upper and lower eyelids making my eye’s look rather defined and perfectly framed. In all honesty I was surprised just how this came out, I often use black eyeliner so the blue was a bit daring for me. The results were fantastic and I believe this is a trend most ages can carry off – It made me feel as though I had a more youthful appearance as it was less heavy looking than the black I would normally wear and complimented my blue eye colour.

To complete my eye look, I coated my lashes in the Midnight Lash Mascara in Black. I gave my upper lashes two coats for a more dramatic effect. The mascara was very easy to apply and did not leave my lashes coated in clumpy mascara as I normally find happens when applying it.This finished my smoky eye look perfectly.
High Shine Lipgloss in Plum Blush

For the lips I used a high shine lip gloss in Plum Blush. The colour is a lot more subtable when you apply it than it looks in the packaging.The lipgloss gave my lips a boost of high shine colour , leaving them with a more glossy youthful appearance. The lipgloss is also a collagen boosting moisturising gloss that protects your lips at the same time as making them look irresistible.
To complete the overall look, I swept the product over my cheekbones to give me a youthful glow to my skin. I have used many highlighters including creams and powders but have not found any as easy to apply as this one.You literally sweep the product over your cheekbones , no need for patting or rubbing in, it just sits on the skin perfectly glistening in different lights.

Stay Perfect Shade and Define in Glistening Ray

Rather than the dark smoky eye look in make up number 1, this time I applied the stay Perfect Shade and define to the whole of my eyelid. I applied this to both eyes in under 2 minutes. It simply glides on to create a lovely sweep of colour and remember you can also use this as an eyeliner too.
Metallic Eyes Pencil in Camouflage

To complement the eyes, after applying the Glistening Ray makeup I used a soft, creamy and very long lasting eye pencil with a metallic effect. Once again I had moved away from the black eyeliner I normally wear to wear a lighter, fresher and on trend colour and I loved it!

High Shine Lip Crayon in Statement

As I was having a lighter colour on my eyes I decided to go dramatic on the lips. The High Shine Lip Crayons look like a chunky marker pen. When applied they give a gorgeous glossy lip color, one that can be built up. The colour Dramatic I was applying looked like a very bright red, yet once it was applied it just gave a hint of colour, which I built up and up until I came to my chosen colour.I not only loved how it looks but how it makes your lips feel too.
