Me-Time Activities that will Boost your Confidence

September 6, 2019 | Leave a Comment

The bustle of home and family can be stressful without much available free time for yourself. Even planned breaks can be disrupted by everyday surprises. But when these rare moments do come around, it’s important to make good use of them. You don’t need to leave the house to enjoy some me-time or, when you do, do the same things every time. Get creative. Inspire and develop yourself. Bring some excitement, mystery and, above all, tranquillity to your life with these distinctive ideas.

Get creative

Don’t limit yourself to the new fad of adult coloring books. Keeping busy can be more fun than you think. There’s an endless supply of blogs and videos dedicated to the concept of improving or decorating the house with the help of unassuming materials and some glue. Examples of the kinds of imaginative items you can make can include memory jars to display photos, mosaic tables, and candle chandeliers. Think of what crafts you’d be interested in – handy or decorative – and enjoy discovering the wonders your mind and hands can put together.

Be mindful

On the other hand, peace and quiet may be the only thing you’re interested in. Why not take it to the next level and try some meditation techniques? Learning how to bring yourself to a state of complete relaxation does take time, but the benefits are worth it, such as better blood circulation, lower heart rate and anxiety levels and better mental and physical wellbeing. Close your eyes in a comfortable position, take a series of deep, focused breaths and sense your body’s behavior throughout daily 10-minute routines. Through this, meditation can be a simple but powerful method to relax and boost your self-awareness.

DIY SPA DAY

Give yourself a bit of pampering with some DIY spa treatments at home. Invest in a couple of self-massage tools such as a roller or acupressure ball. You can even get little versions of them to give yourself a facial. Try adding some essential oils to a warm bath and have a long soak with one of your favorite books or listen to relaxing music. For a more luxurious option, you could even book yourself a real-life appointment at a spa. Choose the treatment you’ve always dreamed of getting. Lipotherapeia, for example, offers a range of skincare treatments that will give you a real confidence boost.

Psychic readings

There are many other ways to explore your psyche on your day off that are both entertaining and eye-opening. Professional Clairvoyant readings can provide much-needed enlightenment about your past, present, and future. A live chat or phone call with a trained Reader can reveal details and solutions for troubling personal or professional matters. Clairvoyants are said to have the ability to sense things that, once interpreted, provide key clues on what to do or how to deal with a given situation. A little bit of me-time is the perfect occasion to evaluate your life and plan out your next fulfilling steps.

Start blogging

While achieving that precious state of self-awareness, you may discover new passions or talents worth sharing with the world. Setting up and maintaining a blog is a challenge, but one that can become an enjoyable hobby for you to work on. Find your purpose, domain and target audience and start posting content to draw people with the same interests or in need of your credible input. A braver and even more marketable avenue is vlogging. Both these options are also modern ways of improving your skill in writing, public speaking, technology and more: a social and rewarding way to spend your free time. Make a habit of putting some time aside for yourself and utilize that opportunity to either play, relax or evolve as a person. Take care of your needs and brighten up your personal life in the process.
