The Venturer EliteWin S 11KT Laptop has become my staple computer for whenever I’m out of the home due to its size, functionality and convenience. Over the past weeks I have been finding myself using the Laptop far more often than I had originally believed I would due to the fact that, as it’s lightweight especially in comparison to my usual carry load, I’ve been able to easily cart it around my school for use as an emergency access point to the Internet. I can listen to songs in my breaks, keep notes and get some extra revision in, which I predict going to shine brightest next year when I start my GCSE year in September.

In terms of the Laptop itself, the Keyboard and monitor are completely flexible and detachable, with the monitor itself having touch screen functionalities due to it’s shared function as being a Tablet, using the Windows market as an Appstore. It runs a pre built in Windows 10 Operating System with an inbuilt camera, HDMI input and eight-hour battery life. It also comes made with an Intel Atom processor. 2GB’s of ram and a relatively small 32GB SSD, though the model I reviewed came pre-packaged with a 64GB SD Card. One downside for family use, however, is the disk tray – or lack thereof. This means any DVD’s will not be able to be played on it for a movie night or viewing while out. The reason for this is most likely compensation for the extremely lightweight frame.
The model I received is the ‘Gun Metal’ colour, which I must admit is nicer than the description paints it as. Furthermore, the screen size is of 1366 x 768 for whomever that may concern. As I’ve stated earlier, the USP of this product is simply in its lightweight nature and versatility and with a few power banks could be a great companion for any journey or convention. In terms of the operations, It acts exactly as a regular computer would, though it lacks a mouse for all who may dislike the now traditional touch pad.
In conclusion, the Venturer EliteWin S 11KT has been an unexpectedly large boon to my everyday life, most noticeable to me for being chained to a desktop computer since I was five. The freedom its very nature allows especially in comparison to my parent’s laptop, which is extremely bulky to transport, has helped my educational and personal lives improve in unexpected ways.
