Your Helping Support UNICEF Right now
Why do UNICEF need our support?
There are still babies in 24 of the world’s poorest countries at risk from life threatening illnesses. This is why we need your support to spread the word, together we can help more babies to reach their ‘FIRSTS’. Maternal and newborn tetanus is easily preventable by a simple vaccine, 58,000, but despite this fact babies still die every year in these poor countries. I can’t believe that there is one newborn fatality every 9 minutes in these countries, and we have the power to help!
Here is what you can do!
For every pack of Pampers nappies you purchase, Pampers will donate one vaccine to the UNICEF campaign. You have already donated three vaccines by simply reading this post, you can help even further as Pampers will donate a further vaccine to UNICEF for every like, view or share of the below First Times video that has been brought to you by Pampers.
It’s that simple to help transform children’s lives!
- 1 Pack = 1 Life-Saving Vaccine
- 1 View = 1 Life-Saving Vaccine
- 1 Share = 1 Life-Saving Vaccine
Please Share this video with your friends! This Video will change lives.
My Babies ‘FIRST’ Moments
I have experienced plenty of ‘FIRSTS MOMENTS’ from having two boys myself, and it would be unbearable to that if I had lived in another country I may have missed them due to a simple treatment for illnesses.
Whilst I support UNICEF each year, I reflect on these special times, especially this as my eldest son turns eighteen. I have loved watching my boys first big achievements in life, like
- Their first smile
- First word
- First steps
- First tooth
- First laugh
The firsts that have really stuck with me are the smaller things, the little tiny experiences only parents would notice in their own children. Like
- The way they smile when they see a bird fly for the first time
- The first cuddle they give you and the time they say ‘I love you Mummy or Daddy”.
As my babies get older they still have firsts,
- The first report they bring home
- The first school photograph
- The first nativity play
- The first time they bring home a girlfriend
Their Firsts are all still as special to me, as no matter how old they get they will always be my babies.
As a Mum, I cannot help but feel for other parents that are far less fortunate than I am, my heart really goes out to them. Thanks to Pampers, I have the chance to try to help, and make a small difference to another person’s world. If we all spread the word maybe we can all change this a little sooner and together.
