A Night of Monster Mayhem & Mischief

Last threw a DIY Halloween party  transforming our garden into a spooktacular scarefest

We decorated the shed inside and out, with a few spooky surprises inside, one being my husband!

My Sister is now Doctor Evil

He dressed up and hid inside, the children and adults were challenged one by one to enter the haunted shed. Only the brave would survive the scary antics that  would face them .

It was hilarious watching them go in one by one and seeing them come out white as a sheet, or some ran out screaming!

My husband was hid inside dressed as Jason from Friday the 13th, with sheets to jump out from behind, we dangled things from the ceiling to scare you when you walked inside.

We decorated the house with loads of Halloween props, from Rats to moving pictures and smoking cauldrons.

Plenty of ghoulish and gory food to eat

We even bought special Halloween stickers to stick to our bottles of pop. We had ‘Dr Dracula’ instead of Dr Pepper and ‘Spirit’ instead of Sprite .

Check out Halloween ‘Hello Kitty’

After we had done some trick or treating with the kids, it was all back to the house for a hot chocolate and some warm food to defrost ourselves.

I came up with an ingenious idea of letting off Chinese lanterns, this ended disastrously, after the first and only chinese lantern we lit landed on next doors shed roof.Wood and a flame do not mix as we quickly discovered.

How many men does it take to light a Lantern?100_7329

Finally the men managed to get the Chinese Lantern to work, it was beautiful watching the lights floating in the night sky.

We had a fantastic night, plenty of thrills, good company and lots of yummy treats.

See How to make Halloween treats.

It was loads of fun, cleaning up and removing the fake cobwebs from the light fittings wasn’t so much fun.Everyday more seems to appear.
