Review- tommee tippee Steamer blender for HALLOWEA’N Treats

I have been thinking a lot about weaning lately and collecting recipes to make my own organic, fresh baby food for the first stage and beyond. So when I was asked by the lovely people at tommee tippee to try out the steamer blender I was very excited to see if this would make my busy life just that little bit easier and the food for my little one more nutritional and tasty.

The tommee tippee steamer blender blends fruit, vegetables and meat preserving key nutrients and flavour. The blender itself is very simple to use – just a one-touch button to either steam or blend or both depending on your requirements. There is also a timer so you can personalise your cooking. The instruction booklet comes with timings for which ingredients you are using and for different stages of weaning.

I set the steamer to 15 mins as I was looking to achieve baby food suitable for the very first stages of weaning. I also set the blender to blend at regular intervals throughout the steaming process so roughly every 3 to 4 minutes.

I decided to go along with the Halloween theme and make a butternut squash and swede baby meal, as you can see from the picture very suitable for Halloween.

I love how simple this made cooking wholesome food that you can feel proud to feed your baby and you don’t have to slave away in the kitchen for hours meaning more time with your little one.

Cleaning the machine is super easy too with the jug being able to be washed on the top shelf of a dishwasher.

The steamer blender from tommee tippee comes with a handy knife and two little pots which are perfect to store the mini meals for your baby you have made. I will definitely be buying extra pots so I can batch cook meals on a weekend for the full week, saving me time and plenty of money.

I would highly recommend this extremely useful piece of kit for anyone weaning their child, saving you money and time what more could you ask for!
