Sex Education for kids – The Story of the Sperm & Egg

March 12, 2014 | 22 Comments

When my son told me his homework was ‘The story of the Sperm and the Egg’, I expected him to produce a step by step textbook guide of how sperm fertilize the egg, I was waiting for awkward questions about sex topics. Not really relishing the thought of  having to tell my innocent son the facts of life in detail! This is the funniest most engaging story for sex education for kids that I have ever seen and I had to share this with you!

I left him to get on with his homework and one hour later he showed me what he had been up to and his finished results, I thought I would share with you all.

Sex Education for kids – The Birth of the Egg and Sperm

The birth of the egg and the sperm, Meet ‘spermy‘ and ‘eggy‘, Yes, he had changed the sperm and egg into characters!

Sarge Sperm makes sure the young sperm  know it is going to be a long  and treacherous trip, but no one gives up

Loving the message in the speech bubble from sergeant sperm which reads “The gate to the other side is open, anyone who goes will go in as legends….Charge”

Many gave up upon reaching the cervix, but even so Spermy charged on. (I love the picture with the speech bubble “I will make it through”)

As soon as spermy crawls his way into the cervix into the native cells, they mistake him for foreign cells

Now only 1,000 are remaining and half enter the fallopian tubes and the other half including spermy head to the egg, (look at the little signs, one way to the egg and the other to the Fallopian tubes

Spermy couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the outer layer of the Chrona pellucida, after he wiggles his way through.

Spermy  couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the beautiful egg and touched it. Nine months later the love is still in the air as they fused to become one!

Well this is one way to submit your Sex Education homework! I think they should make a TV show based on Spermy and the Egg, with a special appearance from my favorite character Sergeant sperm what an excellent Sex  education for kids topic.

What Funny or sweet things have your Children produced in the past? Have they ever had to produce sex education home? I would love to hear your thoughts!
