Skylanders Superchargers – Awesome Facts you need to know!

Skylanders SuperChargers is the fifth installment in the renowned Toys to life series and includes one of the most radical changes to date, vehicles! Find out about all the exciting changes to the skylander game, pricing details and why we are so excited for the latest installment of skylanders due to be released in the UK on the 25th September 2015.

Ever since being announced with the amazing ‘Buckle Up’ trailer at the start of June, dedicated skylanders fanatics that go skylander hunting, such as myself, have been craving for information and, two months later, we couldn’t ask for more!

For example, the Nintendo crossover with two Amiibo Skylanders, Hammer Slam Bowser and Barrel Blast Donkey Kong, functioning as both Skylander and Amiibo figurines. Even better, all the returning figurines have a fully unique moveset to this figure, not just a single Wow Pow!

However, if like me, you collect them all, it’s a doozy this year due to the starter pack, so I’ll give you the rundown! You will need:

This is due to amiibos being available on different consoles and the dark Editions boosting the price, by the end you’ll have 6 Spitfires, 6 Hotstreaks, 3 Kaos Trophies! You’ll be best to wait until they sell off their remaining stock at a discount and Smyths toys sell the regulars for £20-£30 later in the year as with the past two years.

So parents, ready your credit cards for the skylanders rush this year! I know my poor mum Rachel Hirst will be frantically queuing to make sure I have these in my Christmas box this year! Oh, by the way mum can I have as many of these as possible.

Another reason to purchase the game is the highly requested ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!!! (I am so happy about this skylander supercharger feature) I have been wanting this since spyros adventure and features online and local racing battles! So, start your engines or you’ll be eating dirt!

Ok, if you look past the steep entry price for collectors such as myself, Skylanders SuperChargers is looking to be the cheapest and most accessible point of entry for new fans and will be much lighter on the wallet in comparison to previous versions. The stunning graphics, online features and Kaos (one of my favourite villains alongside Handsome Jack and Gruntilda) taking the reins again, we will be in for a hell of a road trip, so fuel up and let’s ride!
