Ribbit is a fun new animated film which is out to buy on DVD & 3D Blu-ray on 30th March 2015 just in time for the Easter School Holidays.
Ribbit is a frog with an identity crisis. Unlike other frogs, he hates hopping and he hates water! Along with his best friend, sandy the flying squirrel, he embarks on a soul-searching journey to find his rightful place in the world, encountering a variety of colourful characters both friend and foe along the way.
When Ribbit is hypnotised, tricked into believing that he is a human prince trapped in a frog’s body, he sets off on a new mission: to kiss a human princess. Not only does he soon discover that being a frog is not bad after all, but also that the love of his life has always been right before his very eyes.
Ribbit Movie Review
Every week, I am still quite lucky that both of my boys love to come sit together as a family for our regular movie night. When I told them both we were watching the Ribbit Movie I must say they were both a little unsure at first. I had my nephew who is only 7 years old staying over, so this movie was a perfect choice for him and my boys who are in their teens and tweens. We cuddled up on the sofa ‘yes my boys still do this’ and popped out the popcorn to watch the star-studded bring this little handsome frog Ribbit to life in this great animated film.
Now I am not going to lie. My eldest son was not that keen, he watched a little but soon got lured away by Facebook. The two younger boys loved it and the message this film certainly gives is that of a strong message of friendship. I personally really enjoyed the whole film too, sometimes I think you have to be in the mood to watch a film and I most certainly was on this particular evening. I found the film funny and meaningful, not to mention that quality of the CGI is of a very high standard.
Once the film had finished, both of the boys had great big lovely smiles on their faces and that is the mark of a great family film if you ask me. So if you get the opportunity why not grab yourself a copy of this film and settle down to watch it over the holidays or on your family movie night this week.
