With mid-September arriving, it’s now time for windy days, warmer clothes, umbrellas and the dreaded torrential showers. There’s nothing worse than doing the school run in the dark mornings or better yet, trying to drag yourself out of bed. But this season, Lighthouse Clothing have made our long days a little brighter with their stylish Outdoor Wear.

I received the Beachcomber Waterproof Coat in the beautiful colour Watermelon, a vibrant pinky red. At first glance, the product was well made, and the fabric felt soft yet warm. If you don’t want a hefty coat this season, then Lighthouse is definitely the way to go, a simple, lightweight jacket which keeps you protected whatever the weather! Inspired by the traditional fisherman’s Mac and the classic nautical look, this jacket is hardworking yet fashionable. Today has been one of those days where it has none stopped rained yet that humid, sticky feeling lingers in the air; there’s nothing worse than having to wear a coat when it’s warm, but I put this jacket to the test. Although the jacket was soaked, I was warm and dry when I got home yet not sweating from the disgusting heat (finally a waterproof that works!).
The colour is a little out of my comfort zone, but it’s cute, so was too hard to resist. I’ve noticed that Watermelon is a popular shade right now, and it adds a little sparkle to the dull months, while the antique brass toggles add an authentically, rustic finish. The aim of this company is to add a little sunshine to the drizzle, whether you’re in the city or exploring forests, Lighthouse Clothing has got you covered (literally).
Sizing can become frustrating with any clothing and in this case, I got a size 10 (usually an 8), the reason being that if you wear a jumper underneath, you don’t want to be super uncomfortable and for the jacket to be tight. Personally, I made the right call; I have a little bit of spare room but it’s the perfect amount, and the jacket doesn’t look baggy. I love the tiny details of this jacket also, the stitched logo on the chest makes the product look high quality and expensive.
Lighthouse Clothing is a parental brand, made for the whole family. If you’re planning on a winter shop, then this is your site. If you want adorable all in ones for the kids, casual waterproofs or sweater weather fleeces in bright colours then you’re in luck. You can check out Lighthouse Clothing here.
