Pokemon Rumble U Review

 Pokemon Rumble U

Hey guys Its Jake Here for another review!  let’s get on with this and give you an insight into Pokemon Rumble U is the 3rd Game in the Rumble series and is a fairly good successor to the great Pokémon Rumble Blast game.

Pokemon rumble u

Pokemon Rumble U Gameplay

The Gameplay is quite different to the original two games because instead of levels it is always an arena style match, where you’re in an arena and you’ve got to keep defeating Pokemon till the boss comes… Which you will then own and get  to keep it  if you’re lucky!

The figures are back with a new twist however you can’t upgrade them yet. The only ones you can upgrade are the ones you purchase… At £3.99 for a blind pack (In other words you don’t know what’s in the pack). These Figures actually can be put on the Wii U Pad on a certain spot and they appear like magic on the screen, my mum really loved this part of the game.

One downside is say your favorite Pokémon like me is Dratini and you want to go through the whole game as this Pokemon you can’t because only a couple of Pokémon can be obtained, so it gets really tough in the meta-game but that’s beside the point.

Pokemon rumble u

On to the good bits, there’s challenges which once you complete them you get rare Pokémon like Blastoise or Keldeo or even Typhlosion!

In every Area there’s a few bosses you must beat untill you can go to the next  area, so there’s also items like the Master capsule which makes whatever it hits a 100% catch rate and then there’s the time missions which are challenges which have to be achieved on a certain day or at a certain time (In Real Life time that is).

…!SPOILER ALERT SKIP FOR NO SPOILERS!…

So the gist of things are there’s a new stock of Pokemon toys in the Toy shop, when an EVIL Pokemon (Black Kyurem) somehow drop’s the cargo making it all go everywhere,Four capsules get pulled down the river which conveniently are Pikachu Snivy Oshawott and Tepig…  anyway now you must Travel through areas defeating Legendary Pokemon with the Starters and get  back to the toy shop……………………..HAVE FUN!

Conclusion

This is a great game at a very reasonable price and you have plenty of extras that you can spend money on to expand the game further. You can build up a fine collection of Pokemon figures just like me.

pokemon rumble u

This game missed an opportunity which could have hyped the fans even more for X and Y,in my opinion it would be great if Nintendo made a downloadable content to coincide with the release of Pokemon X and Y (£3-£4 would be good) with a new story added and X n’ Y Pokemon in the game and this would make the best rumble game out yet .

I would give this a Jake rating of 4.5 out of 5 because this game is totally awesome, this game a fun and has been really well thought out. I love Pokemon games and this is great for all ages.

I can’t believe how far pokemon has come along I used to collect the cards. I don’t have a Wii U so this isn’t something I can play which kinda sucks I had pokemon on Nintendo Advance.

This is a lot cheaper than Disney Infinity and looks just as fun. But is it as good as the originals that I grew up with lol.

    Great review.

What fun to have an arena style match with the Pokemon. Beating the bosses might be a problem for me.

My son loves the Pokemon games and we have most of them but only for the Nintendo DS. We have a Wii U but only have Mario games. I wonder if my son would want this for the the Wii U as well.

Never really played these games from pokemon, always stuck to just the original series of games and well initially the cards until I grew up a bit but still with the games (currently not got the new ones til I have money for a 3ds or 2ds (undecided yet).
