Prif Freedom 1 Ps4 Wireless Headset Review + Win 1 of 3

December 8, 2015 | 44 Comments

The Prif Freedom 1 for the PS4 is the latest piece of wireless technology to give next gen gamers a super enhanced sound whilst playing their games. Here are the specifications you need to know before purchasing the wireless headset.

Prif is very, very excited to announce the Prif Freedom 1 PS4 wireless headset. This is a wonderful piece of gaming tech, developed and designed by Prif and licensed by Sony.

The first and currently only product of this type on the market offering above CD quality sound for the gamer.

Prif FREEDOM 1 Next Gen Wireless Headset

Prif Freedom 1 Specifications

Unlike the PS3, the PS4 does not support Bluetooth audio out of the box. In addition, unlike the PS3, the quality of audio it supports is a true next gen experience. The PS4 plays back audio at 48Khz (this is the sampling rate – which in the real world results in how lifelike the sound is going be). CD sound is at 44.1Khz, and the PS3 Chat audio is way below this.  The current wireless chat headsets for the PS4 operate at around 8khz.

The Prif Freedom 1, uses a patented RF design, to allow 48Khz sound to come from the PS4 to the user, and 16Khz sound to go from the user to the PS4, thereby matching the PS4’s own specs. If you have bought a next gen console, you surely want a next gen headset to work with it.

Prif FREEDOM 1 Next Gen Wireless Headset Range

The Freedom 1 doesn’t just sound great, but it also has some great features. The first of which is a Voice Monitor button. This allows you to hear your own voice. Hearing your own voice is a great way of A) checking the mic is working but B) regulating your own volume.  If you stream or are worried people will think you are shouting, then switch the Voice Monitor (VM) mode on and use it to help you control your personal volume.

You can get your hands on the Prif Freedom 1 wireless headset at Smyths Toys priced at £24.99 right now.

I love all the consoles Nintendo have brought out
As my perfect game it got to be is Super Mario Bros
As they have been around so long you see,
    Mario jumps around to win,
With many obstacles to be found,
Look up above you and on the ground,
    In a wonderland,
My control it’s got to be,
I collect the points so he can be,
The winner in the land of nintendo
