Simple ways to quickly install lighting in your outdoor spaces

October 28, 2021 | Leave a Comment

Lighting up your outdoor spaces is an effective way to get more use. While at the same time improving the security of your home. Fortunately, this is not difficult to do. Here are several forms of outdoor lighting which will not take you long to set up. Before we dive in, keep in mind that if you are looking to add quite a few lights to your yard, and some run off plug usage, contact an Electrician in Pleasantville (or wherever you are based), to come and install sockets which are easy to use and safe from the elements, so you aren’t stuck with any issues.

Quickly install lighting in your outdoor spaces – Overhead lighting

Festoon lighting is one of the most versatile forms of outdoor lighting. Once you have connected them up all you need to do is to string them along a wall or between posts above the area that you want to light up. This outdoor festoon lights kit makes it extremely easy to add some lighting to your garden. They can be strung up practically anywhere and are a particularly good way to light up a deck.

Spike lights

Spike lights just need to be pushed into the ground in a row, which makes them ideal for lighting up flower beds. It is possible to buy sets that are connected together by a cable. They are incredibly good, but where you can put them is limited by the length of the cable between each light. If you need any additional sockets installed, or help with your outdoor lighting installation, you may wish to contact professional Rockwall electricians, or electricians in your area.

Fairy garden lights

Fairy lights look beautiful in virtually any setting. They can be wound around any large article, tree, or plant to create an attractive focal point. The fact that they are lightweight makes them super easy to install. But they do tend to knot up a bit, so make sure that you have enough space to lay them out before installing them.

Rechargeable battery-powered lights

Battery-powered lights can be installed practically anywhere. They are designed to give off a soft light which is extremely relaxing. Most of them are rechargeable. Smooz lights are an example of this form of outdoor lighting.

Quickly install lighting in your outdoor spaces – Garden candles

If you are plagued by bugs at night using citronella candles is an excellent way to keep them at bay. With the added benefit that they will cast some light as well.

Quickly install lighting in your outdoor spaces -Tiki lights

Garden torches, or tiki lights, just need to be spiked into the ground. Then, you just need to fill them with oil and light them. They are ideal for setting up along a path. But are not suitable for use in a garden where a child or someone who is infirm may trip and push one over.
Most of the above methods are easy enough for you to be able to do the installation yourself. However, if you have any doubts at all, call an electrician. They have the necessary qualifications to make sure that everything is installed to a high standard, which will help to keep your family safe.
