Yorkshire Linen Woodland Duvet Review

Being a Yorkshire lass. I simply love to try products that are home-grown so to speak. I was very kindly asked If I would review a duvet cover of my choice in our home by Yorkshire linen. I thought why not! I could always use fresh clean linen to place on my teens beds. I decided to try the woodland charcoal & black cover set for a single bed.

Both of my children have been brought up to appreciate good quality bedding, so hopefully this set would live up to the more expensive duvet I generally buy them! Firstly, I test the feel of the fabric when the product arrives. I hate cheap feeling duvet that are going to e harsh on your skin. I like soft and silky feeling covers to snuggle up in at night and so do my boys.

The duvet felt quite fresh and the quality wasn’t that bad at all. It was not the softest duvet I had felt and the material was slightly course but it still felt thick, which shows good quality. The last thing you want is to be getting cold when you sleep.

I placed the duvet on my eldest sons bed, this was probably made a little easier because the material was thick. The image of woodland actually suited the existing decor quite nicely. It’s generally difficult to tell what me son’s first thoughts of his new bedding were because he generally give a grunt rather than looking to overjoyed. Never the less he actually like the duvet cover which knowing his taste I thought would be the case.

I left the bedding on and asked him how he had slept! The thing is my sons bedroom gets so cold in the winter time because it’s upstairs in the loft. He struggles sleeping when it is really cold but he seemed to appreciate the thickness ad quality saying he had a great nights sleep. He didn’t feel the cold as much as he would usually. It’s not often he gives a opinoin but he really seems to like the duvet set.

I love the fact the duvet set is actually reversible and both sides have equally great pictures on them. One side shows a light grey woodland area and the a silhouette of trees.

I wash my bedding at least once a week to ensure that no bed bugs stand a chance. The duvet did not fade and to actually ironed quite nicely too.

This particular bedding set comes in single and double set. Personally, I would have this in our room if it suited the rest of the current bedroom decor but unfortunately, it doesn’t.

I think duvets with images on are very niche specific and will fit with rooms that compliment the colour of the duvet. I ordered the duvet and it arrived 2 days later, this is quite good as it was only purchased on a standard delivery charge.

All in all the duvet is similar to other duvets on the market at the moment but if you’re looking for a great selection of bedding sets and covers Yorkshire linen do have a massive amount of products online.
