4 Tips on How to Pick Your Hair Extensions

May 5, 2020 | 1 Comment

Choosing the best hair extensions can be quite a struggle since there are a ton of brands out there in the market. Picking out what is suitable for you while having good quality will be hard since you can’t just try out every one of them. Hair extensions are an investment since so it is only given if you want them to last longer and be as real as they look because after all, that is the point of buying them in the first place. Hair extensions are the right solution for your hair problems. Whether it is about the length or volume, hair extension can do something about it. However, as mentioned earlier, picking a set of hair extensions for yourself can be quite a pickle since factors like lifestyle and texture should be considered. Don’t fret, though, as here are some tips on picking the right hair extension for you.

Choose Remy Human Hair

Hair extensions can come in different kinds, like synthetic, Remy, and non-Remy. If you don’t know what a Remy is, it is human hair but with the cuticle of each strand still intact. If you want hair extensions that look natural and durable, pick these kinds of hair extensions. Remy human hair is also the hair extension that has the highest quality in the market. Take note, however, that some brands say that their hair extensions have 100% Remy human hair. It might say so in the packaging, however, don’t trust so easily as some of them mix non-Remy human hair in their products. Companies do this to cut some costs. To avoid this, however, you can look for some reviews of the said product to see if the people that bought it are happy and satisfied. Of course, only believe the reports that come from reputable sources. Non-Remy human hair comes with a cost, though. While they might not cost you a fortune, they sure can be a lot pricey when compared to non-Remy human hair or synthetic ones. That said, it is still better to buy Remy human hair because of several reasons. Synthetic human hair can easily be pointed out as it is not natural looking. Also, it can’t stand the heat, can easily be tangled with each other, and cannot withstand tension. For this reason, it cannot be curled as you need an iron to do that. Hairdryers are also a no-no. Remy human hair, on the other hand, can withstand heat application. You can curl it as long as you like and even straighten them out. The usage of hairdryers is also permitted.

 Lifestyle

One thing you should consider when picking hair extensions is your lifestyle. Hair extensions require a lot of maintenance, so it is necessary to spend a little bit of time to check on them. However, if you are too busy to put aside a little bit of time to check on them, Halo Hair Extensions are for you. They are easy to maintain and wear so it will save you a lot of time wearing them on the go rather than spend too much time donning them in front of the mirror.

Texture

One of the goals of hair extensions is to make itself blend perfectly with your hair. Due to this, it is only mandatory to see if the hair extensions you are using have the same texture as your hair. Because of this, several kinds of hair extension textures are made to fit well with real hair. As an example, Chinese hair fits perfectly well with medium-density hair. Russian hair, on the other hand, has a better denier than most hair textures. This is the reason why you should look closely at the composition of your chosen hair extensions as your hair might look messy if you didn’t pick the right texture. If you don’t know how to pick the right texture, you can touch your hair and the hair extension of your choice. This way, you can feel both of them to see if they are similar to the touch.

Consult a Stylist

If you are looking to buy a semi-permanent hair extension, you might want to ask a bit of advice to a professional hairstylist. Hair extension is more of a trade rather than a piece of knowledge from cosmetology school. however, consulting a professional hairstylist is still a good idea since they know a lot about hair and will help you apply them seamlessly. If you choose to apply them on your own, take note that improper application of them can cause slipping and other problems that will be a hassle later in life.

When you look at the packaging of the hair extensions that you bought, usually, there is a phone number that you can call if you want a consultation or if you want to ask about the product. Picking out your hair extension can be a struggle, so asking for all the help that you can get is necessary if you want to have luscious and flowing hair.

a very informative post, thank you for taking the time to write this awesome guide.

I too have struggled in the past to find a good supplier for 100% remy human hair, and have had my share of disappointments until i found one.

I recommend you try eden hair extensions https://edenhairextensions.com.au/ , i have been a long time customer now and have never had a bad experience with them,, and although they are not the cheapest but they have the best quality by far compared to everything else i tested.
