It is an independent business run by owners Peter and Rachael alongside a small team who work extremely hard to find the very best, most inspiring stories and gifts for an incredibly reasonable price. This online retailer specialises in selling the most fantastic children’s books for the perfect bedtime story and thoughtful gifts: they are all truly magical!
My Online Shopping Experience
It is no secret that I LOVE shopping small! By that, I am certainly not referring to the quantities I buy, but rather my love for supporting small, independent businesses. Something about the entire shopping experience – from basket to doorstep – is…..magical. When I found out about Over the rainbow, I could not contain my excitement. An independent, UK-based retailer that sells magical storybooks and gifts for children? Count me in!
As much as I am still very much a child at heart, I thought it more suitable to have a shopping spree for my daughter and soon found myself with a basket full and a rather hefty order (although not very expensive!) I knew that, before my order even arrived, Over the rainbow would soon be my go-to online retailer for magical storybooks and exciting gifts.
Paw patrol travel accessories
As I mentioned earlier, my order was a pretty hefty one although it was far from being pricey. I found myself drawn to the Paw patrol Skye and Everest-themed Children’s Travel Products. This set is an incredible travel accessories set for children designed to appeal to little ones by the incorporation of the well-known paw patrol characters Skye and Everest. Not only does everything in this set keep your child safe, but it also looks fantastic!
The travel accessories set includes; a travel pillow, a travel safety harness, and a set of 2 sunscreens (visors) for your car windows.
The first item that really caught my attention was the child-size travel pillow designed with the two awesome pups to be on the very front: it’s ADORABLE! This travel pillow is super soft, super fun, and fits my daughter perfectly. It is very clear that the level of comfort is thoroughly thought about in the design process of this travel pillow to help ensure a comfortable journey rather than a restless one!
Secondly, the safety harness is a great addition to this travel safety set. I’m sure many parents will relate to the fact that sometimes it is just too big a risk to let your little one run around mindlessly, particularly in big and unfamiliar environments. The safety harness is fully adjustable and super easy to use and can be used as reins for walking to keep your child close and safe whilst also allowing them to feel free and unrestricted.
Additionally, the harness can also be adapted to be used with anchor straps in a pushchair or highchair. The pure safety aspect and versatility of this harness is a lifesaver whilst out on your travels – this is a must-have!
Finally, the set of 2 sunscreens could not be more fun and useful. They have a beautiful bright and playful design that features a large image of super pups Skye and Everest from paw patrol. No more complaints of having the sun in their eyes or worrying about your child getting too hot (or possibly burnt) by the sun through the car window. These sunscreens are designed with suction cups for easy installation and mesh material that helps block out direct sunlight
whilst also ensuring a shaded space that stays cool throughout the journey. Overall, the paw patrol travel safety set is a must-have for any parent of a paw patrol-loving little one. It truly does ensure safety and is designed in a bright, playful and thoughtful way.
Cinderella 10 sound storybook
To combine the magic of the timeless fairytale Cinderella with an interactive experience that truly brings the story to life is an incredible concept. This Cinderella storybook is beautifully illustrated and comes with 10 corresponding sounds for your child to interact with as they follow Cinderella’s adventure throughout the book. It is without a doubt that children will adore pressing the sound buttons to bring the magic to life with sound effects such as; the swish of the magic wand, the clock striking midnight, the chimes of wedding bells and many more! This storybook is truly an incredible tribute to the classic fairytale with an exciting (and interactive) twist!
