Homemade Valentines day ideas

 Under a fiver!

So here are some of my Valentines day ideas that I have put together to save you money and still give someone an excellent valentines day gift to give your partner.

I have searched my local stores to come up with two fantastic homemade and incredibly cheap Valentines day ideas for your loved ones that won’t cost you the earth.

How to make this Valentines Teddy & Handmade Chocolate gift

 All you need is:

Valentines teddy (The one I used cost £1.99 from The Card Factory)

Cellophane bags for chocolates £1.00 for a pack of 10 from Poundland

Cellophane wrap (I already had this, but is available from Hobbycraft starting at £4.50 per roll)

Melting chocolate 69p Aldi

Chocolate heart mould 99p (comes with issue 1 of Something Sweet) or to save even more time you can use ready-made chocolate hearts available from the Pound Shop and most supermarkets.

Large Bow or ribbon for decoration

Step 1 – Place your homemade chocolate hearts into the cellophane wrappers and tie with the red ribbon included

Step 2 – attach the chocolates you made (above) to the teddy’s arm so it stays in place (Place them in cellophane and tie a red ribbon around see below).

Step 3 – Cut enough cellophane wrap to cover the teddy and enough left for decoration at the top.

Step 4 – Gather the cellophane up on each side and fasten with an elastic band to secure at the top.

Step 5 – attach a bow or ribbon of your choice to decorate.

Total Cost £ 3.69 as I already had a roll of cellophane and a bow, but cellophane is cheap and last’s forever.

This is the easiest gift you can make for any occasions including Mother’s day and Birthdays.

Valentines Photo Snow Globe

Valentines day ideas

Shower your favorite photo in hearts thanks to this custom snow globe that I found in my local Pound store, I inserted a picture of me and my husband on one side and a picture of my husband and boys on the other.

An ideal little gift for your Valentine gift ideas for under a pound!

I would love to know what Valentines gift ideas you have planned  or even what you have done in the past.

Lovely ideas! I think you can easily get carried away in the commercialism of the day which loses its meaning.

Lovely ideas, and with the personal touch. These can bring so much joy and sentiment to the ones we love. A bargain price can help, whilst the craft element is fun and practical. Great ideas.
