One of the treatments they specialise in is Laser Tattoo removal, Most people now have tattoos and sometimes get them  without really thinking ahead to the future and the fact they would have this Tattoo for life!

I have a tattoo which I decided to treat myself with for my 21st Birthday, My tattoo is of a man’s name and not that of my husbands. This could potentially have been a disaster if the mans name was not that of my Favourite Singer ‘Elvis Presley’.

Some people are not as fortunate as me and have names of their partners proudly tattooed on their bodies, only to find later on in life they may not be with this partner long-term.

My husband actually knows of this first hand as when he was in his teens he had his then girlfriends name tattooed on his arm, a relationship that only lasted a couple of years, yet a tatoo mistake that could potentially have lasted a lifetime.

I actually found it very off-putting seeing another woman’s name tattooed across his arm and was relieved when he had it covered with yet another tattoo which had to be a lot larger than the first.

What if you dislike a Tattoo you may have had done when you were young and impressionable, one of another partners name or just a tatoo in an area you later decide does not suit you any more?

You could always do what my husband did and have it covered with a larger tattoo, but what if you do not want a tattoo at all, it could be you are getting married and that tattoo you had would look out-of-place in a beautiful wedding gown. It could be a name of an ex-partner which does not go down well with your new partner or a new career which does not think highly or approve of tattoos or you just want it removed for yourself.

“My Husband would have rather had the Tattoo Removed by Laser, However this treatment was not as widely available as it is now”

Well there is an answer laser tattoo removal, It may sound off-putting, painful and unachievable, The thoughts of lasers burning away your flesh, people decide they’d rather stick with the tattoo. In reality, this isn’t how the treatment works at all.

The following Tattoo Removal information was taken from the sk:n tattoo removal page on the sk:n Website

“The laser’s thermal energy works on the ink of the tattoo itself. There’s no question of “burning” anything: instead there’s just enough energy to break up the ink into small particles. These are tiny enough that they can be picked up and removed by what are called scavenger cells, a part of the skin that is naturally designed to deal with unwanted substances such as viruses. It takes multiple treatments over at least six months (depending on how deep the tattoo was inked), but the tattoo will safely and simply fade away.

The good news is that while the treatment can be a little uncomfortable, it’s not a high level of pain, and certainly won’t be anywhere close to the pain you felt in having the tattoo in the first place! The balance of advantages and disadvantages involved in tattoo removal before and after the development of laser-based methods really has swung to the “pro” side.

Unfortunately the laser technique isn’t for everyone as it can leave the skin quite light in the area where the tattoo used to be. This isn’t noticeable in many cases, but could be an issue if you have darker skin. Naturally all reputable clinics will talk this over with you before starting any treatment.”

It couldn’t be simpler to arrange a consultation with sk:n, You can even arrange a call back to arrange a consultation.

Make 2014 the year for change and wave goodbye to that unwanted Tattoo forever.

When I was a child, a tattoo was a rare and wild thing, but nowadays it seems that everyone has a tattoo. I know I’m old-fashioned, but can’t imagine a care home full of tattooed grandparents, although that era is approaching…
