Makeup on a budget: Revolution

April 5, 2019 | Leave a Comment

When it comes to makeup, I can admit I’m a bit of a snob with the prices and will, more often than not, think it’s a ridiculous idea to pay large amounts of money for any one item and try and purchase makeup on a budget. However, if a product is good for my skin, great quality and relatively cheap: well, it doesn’t get much better than that!
Don’t get me wrong, splashing out on a big brand foundation is a good feeling. But do you know what’s better than that? Buying a new set of face makeup and glitzy brushes and still having money to spare.
Throughout my long and progressive makeup journey I have found that a few familiar brand names tend to pop up when on the topic of affordable yet incredible makeup. Brand names such as:
~Revolution
~Primark (Ps)
~Mark (Avon)
~Nyx

Makeup Revolution

One specific brand tends to stand out whenever I go on a shopping trip with makeup in mind: Makeup Revolution!
Makeup revolution is an award winning budget UK brand famous among beauty-lovers and aspiring makeup artists for its high-end dupes and trend-led offerings. From colourful eyeshadow palettes to glowing highlighters, from brilliant brow perfection kits to luscious liquid lipsticks. Here are just a few of the reasons why Makeup Revolution is a definite go-to in the makeup industry (especially on a budget).

Magical Eyeshadows

Makeup Revolution’s shadows are incredible quality for the price – they are decently pigmented, and are creamy in texture with little fallout. Their unique metallic shades in particular definitely oppose most higher-priced brands. Their themed Salvation and Ultra Eyeshadows palettes, such as Mermaids Forever (£8), have an array of weird and wonderful shades and they are definitely a collection to be added to the wish-list. Makeup Revolution do amazing dupes of higher-end brands.
Their I Heart Makeup I Heart Chocolate palettes (£7.99) look just like Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar palettes and have the same spectacular array of shades.

Heavenly highlighters

Makeup Revolution’s Vivid Baked Highlighter (£3) is considered one of the best highlighters on the market among the beauty blogger community. You could stare at its irridescent waves all day and it gives a gorgeous, some may even say jaw-dropping, highlight too

Trend-led brushes

Now we have all seen the Artis Oval Brushes all over Instagram and how tremendously expensive they are. Makeup Revolution have created their own version of these cult brushes – the Precision Oval Brushes – and they are not far off in terms of performance. They come in a wide range of sizes and are equally as Instagrammable, but are just a fraction of the price: can’t get much better than that!

Other gorgeous brushes that definitely need to have a space in your makeup bag….

These are just a few of my personal opinions on how to be glamorous on a budget with Revolution, but if you don’t believe me then take a look at some of the other outstanding reviews illustrating how incredible (and affordable) Makeup Revolution truly is.

See, high-end and overpriced products aren’t the only option!
