What are Penny Skateboards
Founder, Ben Mackay has 12 years experience in skateboard manufacturing which has given him a strong appreciation for what it takes to make great quality skateboards. He has channeled everything he has learnt in manufacturing and design to come up with a high performance, long lasting, ultra fun plastic skateboard. From looking at any skateboard you can see whether its fundamentals are balanced. You can see it as each component comes together to make the final product and you can feel it under your feet and in your hands. And, it’s what sets Penny Skateboards above all the rest.
Each Penny Skateboard is built with the highest quality raw materials and fanatical attention to detail. Penny Skateboards are designed and built to look good, perform well, and exceed all your expectations.
Testing out the Penny Skateboards
The boys were so excited when there chosen Penny Skateboards & backpacks arrived and could not wait to get outside and familiar with there new wheels. My eldest son selected the HOSOI SIGNATURE 27″ PENNY BOARD a Nickel skateboard featuring an epic graphic wrap and custom transparent grip tape.
My youngest son opted for the smaller PENNY ORIGINAL 22″ HOVERBOARD – GLOW IN THE DARK At first glance, the Hoverboard looks like a ghostly white Penny deck with the world-famous retro design. Its true magnificence is only revealed once the sun goes down –they have infused the plastic with a little science and a little magic so that the deck actually glows in the dark.
As a perfect accessory for the penny boards we were sent The ALL BLACK PENNY POUCH BACKPACK A skate backpack that’ll keep your stuff safe while you cruise the streets, and hold your board when you’re not skating.
The Penny Pouch in black is designed for simple style that goes with anything and will take you anywhere. It fits not only your Penny board but your mobile phone, money and even your iPad.
A couple of my eldest son’s friends were already owners of Penny boards and met up with the boys to give them some encouragement and take them out on their 1st adventure.
After a couple of false starts and falls the boys were successfully able to ride up and down our street with ease, within a couple of hours, the boys had gone on their first road trip and came home full of beans, exhausted and full of stories of there achievements.
It was so great to see my boys away from there computers, leaving their bedrooms and outside having fun and getting some exercise.
Give the penny boards a try, we did and haven’t looked back since!

Oh wow, I now see why my son is raving about these, maybe an idea for his birthday in the summer, although (unlike his friends) he doesn’t need much encouragement to get out in the nice weather
