I was very excited when I received an invite to celebrate the launch of the new Disney glasses range for 2015 at Specsavers. We were allowed behind the scenes at the launch of the Disney inspired frames to see just what was on offer for our kids and teens.
when the invite said we were going to attend a showing of the new hit movie Cinderella prior to seeing the new glasses range, I for one was so excited. At last I could release my inner girly side. I asked my niece who is 11 years old to join me and was shocked when my son agreed to come too! It was only a few years ago the I found out Jake required glasses and he generally changes between contact lenses and normal glass frames. Lydia also wears glasses and was extremely excited to try on the new Disney glasses from the upcoming range at Specsavers.
The event was held at the Disney Headquarters in Hammersmith. obviously we were all very excited just to see what the headquarters was really like inside and I can tell you we were not disappointed, It was quite spectacular!
It was clearly apparent that Specsavers and Disney had put lots of thought into making sure the kids had the perfect Disney experience from the moment we stepped through the door. We were greeted on arrival by none other than Mr Mickey Mouse himself, I don’t know who was the most excited the kids or me!
After a picture and a cuddle with Mickey, we had a fabulous buffet style lunch and the kids even got to have their Face painted with a Disney theme. My neiec had this stunning Cinderella theme painted on her Face.
Before the screening of Cinderella, we had time to preview the brand new Magical designed Disney glasses which are available now at Specsavers in-store and on-line.
Disney Glasses and NHS funding for under 16’s
I was truly stunned with the vast array of Disney designs and choice of characters. All of the Disney glasses in Specsavers ‘kids and teens’ range are free with under 16’s NHS funding. Better still your child can also choose an additional free pair of frames in the 2-for-1 offer! When my son was younger I paid a fortune for him to have the latest character glasses and even then we had a very limited choice.
Disney Glasses available at SpecSavers!
With Disney ranges including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, iconic princesses such as Frozen’s Elsa, The Little Mermaid’s Ariel and Cinderella. For the Action Hero fans they have glasses from the hit movie Avengers, as well as your friendly neighbourhood superhero Spiderman. Take a look at the full Disney Glasses Range.
Matching Disney Glasses Case
My personal favourites and ones I wish they made in Adult sizes are the Glow in the Dark Star Wars glasses. In fact the whole Star Wars range was out of this World with so many designs to choose from. All of the glasses come with a matching themed case, which I know always goes down well with the kids when at school.
After being in awe of the Glow in the Dark Glasses, It was time to head into the Disney Private theatre for our very own viewing of Cinderella. After watching the magical movie, the children were handed a Disney goody bag complete with lots of goodies that the kids loved.
I am truly impressed with this range and wholeheartedly recommend them to any parents shopping for their child’s next pair of glasses. Your child and your purse will definitely thank you for it! All glasses are Free for all under 16’s with NHS funding. Your child can also choose an additional free pair of frames in the 2-for-1 offer at this time.
They’re missing a trick not doing them for adults I love them and would definitely be wearing them!
Alice! I have thought this too. My husband would love to be able to wear and adults version of these specs. Maybe in the near future fingers crossed. Rachel X
They are so cool! I wish they would have had them when I was a child – i was stuck with massive brown Deirdre Barlow-esque ones. Not fair!!
This sounds like a great event. My son recently got glasses for the first time and we were delighted by the range offered by specsavers. He has Star Wars glasses now! Thanks for linking up with #WHWH
