Review:The Big Wedding plus win 1 of 3 copies.
So it’s time for me and Mark to sit down and have a movie night, it was my turn to choose the film and The Big Wedding was an ideal choice, granted it was not Marks first choice In all honesty he would have been much more suited with an action film. As soon as I told him about the fantastic cast starring in this film I could see his opinion changing.
Cast for The Big Wedding is as follows:
Robert De Niro
Not to mention the amazing Robin Williams.
I really enjoyed this film I had read some mixed reviews before I watched the film but I suppose we all have different views, but I felt really content at the end (Don’t worry I wont tell you what happens).
The film is about a couple who have to pretend they are still married after they have been divorced for quite a few years. They have an adopted child who is about to marry the love of his life, when their adopted sons biological mother has decided to attend the wedding. The biological mother has strong beliefs about people not divorcing, so being a loving parents (De NIRO & Keaton) they do what they have to do, to please their son and make sure the day goes by without a hitch. This causes problems because De Niro has a new partner who has to move out to make room for De Niros old wife.
This film is not just about the wedding its predominantly about the larger family, you get insights into each person’s life which are really interesting and at times really funny.I laughed on many occasions and was able to really relax throughout the film and enjoy learning about all the characters and their lives and enjoy witnessing there up’s and down’s.
The casts are exceptional and perform truly amazing throughout the whole film.
This is not a film where you have to think too hard or sit concentrating to actually understand the storyline, It is a funny and romantic film perfect to watch with your other half or even better on your own with a massive bar of chocolate and a glass of wine!
