Easter Egg Decorations | How to make a Super Mario Scene

March 29, 2013 | 2 Comments

As parents we have to conjure up Easter Egg decorations that may help our children have something to take to school that they children our proud of. My kids have always been heavily in to gaming and to be honest most children are. So, That’s why we choose this great Easter Egg decoration that is based on gaming characters from Nintendo.

We always like to spend lots of time thinking of unique Easter Egg decorating ideas and this year we have decided to make a Mario Easter Egg Scene.

This Mario scene actually won the Easter competition at school and my son was ecstatic to finally have an Easter Egg Decoration Idea that other children commented on.

With all Easter Ideas they take a little time but by painting, colouring and creating this scene I think the extra effort must have shone through. My husband helped my son make his entry this year and working together they had lots of laughs and fun creating this.

Easter Egg Decorations: How to make a Super Mario Scene

1. Create the background (Blue Card) and walkway from thick white card, we got our from hobby craft which I find quite reasonably priced.

2. Cut Mario’s Hat from thin card and the additional block’s, coins and characters too.

3. Once you have all of your pieces in place get the colouring pens out and start to colour your scene in.

4. Boil your eggs and create your characters Bullet Bill & Super Mario.

This will take you a couple of hours to recreate but I am sure you will be happy with the results. I would love to see and hear your Easter Egg Decorations this year.
