5 Budget-Friendly Bedroom Redesign Hacks

August 13, 2020 | Leave a Comment

Have you become bored with your bedroom, or maybe you’ve outgrown it? If so, it’s time to change it up, revamp and make the perfect relaxing space. Redecorating your room doesn’t have to break the bank; there are so many cost-effective solutions on how to inject some style and personality. These simple steps will make your room feel peaceful yet stylish.

Declutter

This is perhaps the cheapest of all the hacks. The worst feeling when you’ve redecorated a room is having it messy as soon as it’s finished. There are bound to be things in your room that you don’t reach for anymore. Before you start doing any decorating at all, it is worth having a huge sort out so that you aren’t left with a large amount of clutter all over the floor.

Wall Colour

Take a look at your walls – do they need a new lick of paint? Have you gone off the color or wallpaper? consider opting for a neutral tone or even a crisp white. Lighter shades can instantly brighten the room, creating a more open and airy feel. To add personality and flair, you can incorporate printivart’s wall art or similar statement decor pieces. These accents will effortlessly elevate your space, making it easy to refresh your home décor without the need for a complete overhaul.

Great a gallery wall

It doesn’t cost much at all to take a dozen or so of your favourite photos from your social media or your phone’s memory and to get them printed into a decent size. With the right choice of picture frames, you can create a gallery wall of one of the lesser-used surfaces. Typically the largest and barest wall works best, creating a heart-warming focal point for the room that invites feelings of familiarity and comfort when you look at it.

Bed

When you’re redecorating, don’t overlook whether your bed needs a refresh too. Is your bed frame in keeping with the new theme of your room? A bed can be the main feature of a room, so it is so important that it isn’t outdated or tired looking. Another bed feature that is important to check is your mattress. When your new room is finished, the last thing you will want is to have a bad night’s sleep. Treat yourself to a new comfy mattress like one of these.

Bed sheets are another important feature in your room. If your room has quite a simple décor and neutral walls, having a fun patterned bed cover is such a great way to inject some life and personality into the room.

Scent

The scent is such an important part of a room. When your room is starting to come together, start thinking about which kind of scent you would like to place in your room. Would you like a warm cozy scent so that you can snuggle at night feeling warm and relaxed, or would you like a slightly fresher scent perhaps of freshly washed sheets so in the mornings you feel re-energized?

You can add scent into a room by simply adding a reed diffuser, which will constantly hold the smell or a candle which gives a burst of scent when it is lit. Both a reed diffuser and a candle can look very chic in a room.

Lighting

Having various different lighting around your room is such a great way for the light to adapt to your mood and what you are doing at that time. Having just one main bright light in a room will make you feel more awake if you want to read at night. Find some old vintage lamps at your local thrift store or see if your relatives have any going spare. Vintage lighting can be the perfect accent for your room and make it so personal to you.

Redecorating your room may not be as big of a job as you thought. Even if you didn’t want to redecorate the whole thing, you could simply add a few small touches to liven it up a bit. Enjoy being in your room and turn it into your own personal paradise.
