Trading card games like VanGuard have released their latest decks Blaster Blade and Dragonic Overlord. My Youngest Son Jake was very Excited when Esdevium Games offered to send him the latest craze in Japanese trading card games Cardfight Vanguard.
I am used to seeing and buying him Pokemon and YU-GI-OH cards and even sometimes played against him and lost badly however Cardfight Vanguard was all new to me. It is a very different card game style to any other card game we had played, If I had to compare it to any I couldn’t really there are some aspects of both my favourite card games in this new trading card game.
These cards have fantastic illustrations very different to any other trading card game that I have played.some people say the style is similar to magic the gathering as both have very beautiful illustrations.
Trading card games difficulty levels in order…
- Magic (hardest)
- VanGuard
- Yu-Gi-Oh
- Pokemon (easiest)
If you are new to TGC I would defiantly recommend starting on either of the bottom two Yu-Gi-Oh or pokemon and mastering those first before moving onto vanguard. It has a very unique style of play and is played like no other TCG card game I have played before. I can see why Cardfight Vanguard has taken off so well especially with the more experienced players and I know for certain this will take the world by storm as at the moment it is mainly sold in small independent gaming stores and not your normal toy/games stores. Jake loves visiting patriot games Leeds as not only can you purchase cards from here but play the game on a weekly basis too.
Jake has definitely got the card fight Vanguard bug and wants to collect the cards not only for game play but for collectors purposes also.As for me Jake said “I need quite a few more lessons yet and my own Deck” Cheeky! Esdevium Games.
