Essence Massage Leeds Review – In your own home!

October 29, 2012 | 2 Comments

I had an appointment booked with Kathryn from Essence Massage for a full body Swedish massage. This was the first Massage I’d had in my home, so, although I was thoroughly looking forward to a nice relaxing massage I was also slightly nervous too thoughts going through my mind were. Who knock at the door? or who will ring me whilst I was having my massage? These  were my only concerns and after packing my husband and boys off to school I was ready for my mid-morning pamper period with Kathryn who arrived with all of her kit at 11.00am.

Kathryn was extremely professional when she arrived and put me at ease for my essence massage review of her services.  Kathryn was ever so professional and friendly. She continued chatting whilst she set up her equipment making the whole experience feel personable. I didn’t lift a finger to help, although I personally felt quite bad not doing so.

The Essence Massage experience includes Kathryn bringing her own towels, drink and most importantly the essence products. When the table was ready and I had filled out a consultation card, I got to sample and choose the massage oil which would be used on me during the massage session. I thought this was a lovely touch!

Whilst I got undressed and positioned myself on the bed Kathryn discreetly made her way into the kitchen to give me some privacy. I must say with a busy lifestyle like mine,  I was well overdue a relaxing treat.

Essence massage review

Kathryn worked on my shoulders & back area with firmer strokes, as I had a lot of tension built up in that particular area. I only fully noticed this after the massage was over and my arms and neck area felt loose and weightless like a really heavy shopping bag had been removed from both shoulders.

I expected after the massage to feel tired and a little sluggish, instead I felt like I had a real spring in my step, my mood felt lighter too!

One positive from having the massage in your own home is you can relax straight afterwards with a nice cup of tea curled up on the sofa for half hour before the school rush.

Kathryn offers various essence massage treatments including the following:

  • Mum’s to be (for pregnant ladies 12 plus weeks to promote general relaxation for expectant mums, smooth out knots & reduce swollen legs and feet.)
  • For a New mum (a much deserved massage and treatment focusing on easing away aches and pains brought about by labour, feeding, or carrying your new baby is offered.)

Both are fantastic gift ideas for expectant mums and new mums (It’s something worth thinking about fella’s!) For other treatments available go here. You can purchase gift vouchers too if you want to surprise someone with a home massage. This would make a fantastic change from yet another baby gro!
