Ferry vs Plane

Which is best the Ferry or the Plane?

There are many people who do not like flying, I know I certainly don’t. However are there any great alternatives out there that can match the might of getting from A to B on a plane? This year I decided to take the boys to Paris Disney Land and flying was an option however the boys chose for us to go by Ferry instead and I was very relieved!

The great thing I found about going by Ferry is the ease of being able to take our personal belongings with us, the boys love to have their home comforts and so do I really. My youngest child loves to use his 3DS and this helps keep him entertained throughout the journey. Ferries have WI-FI which enabled him to play some of his friends online whilst we traveled.

Not only that but I had two teenagers in toe and they also loved to use the facilities of the ferry ,they especially loved to be able to walk freely and not be confined to a seat for the entire journey, which is what you would have to do if you were traveling by plane.

I loved to be able to shop whilst on board and visit the large restaurant, this not only helps keep the kids fed and hunger free but you don’t feel like the journey takes as long because you are always occupied whilst aboard the Ferry.

For our family who tend not to pack light, The Ferry is always my choice of transportation as there are absolutely no luggage restrictions meaning I can take those extra four pairs of shoes which my husband always says I don’t need.

I have come across an Infographic by Brittany Ferries UK which details the pro’s and cons between the Ferry and Plane. You make your own mind up but I know that if the option is there I will always travel by Ferry.

I wish we could take ferry instead of a plane or a tunnel but even on such a huge “boat” Mark feels sick

We haven’t been anywhere that would require a ferry or a plane for over eight years. I’m not sure which we could pick, I am fine on planes but have had bad experiences on Ferries 🙁

I am never going on a Ferry again! I went to Paris and we took the Ferry and I hated it. Never again!! The only plus was the no limits to what we could take and bring back in terms of treats and clothes.

I haven’t been on a ferry or plane for years – and I think I would personal prefer ferry unless the destination was well worth the plane ride lol x
