Families need a great place to stay and we like many families love staying in great hotels. We had reason to be able to stay in Manchester over an entire weekend and whilst we were on our stay Premier Inn asked us to review there hotel on their behalf. The hotel we were asked to review was the Premier Inn in Manchester Trafford Centre West.
It is not often we go anywhere as a family, however when we do there are certain requirements we always look for. Firstly it has to be clean, dear god! I can’t stand to see dirty sheets and unclean rooms. Although I may be a little OCD checking the rooms I always like to give feed back to the management to see how they react and so they can make the amendments before other guests arrive.
I will mention that the Premier Inn Manchester trafford centre West had no problems at all in relation to the cleanliness. The hotel has an ample amount of parking upon arrival and even though there was a large gaming event on close by there were still enough spaces left for other hotel guests in the onsite car park.
This was the very first time my Husband had stayed in a Premier Inn hotel before and although they are classed as a budget hotel in affect, he was quite impressed by the level of service and the way we were treated on our stay.
We arrived early at the hotel and the staff were more than happy to save our luggage and place labels on them whilst we awaited our room being ready at 1pm. We actually were not going to be back until later due to the gaming tournement but we were more then ready to relax when we arrived in our rooms.
Our room was a large room and more than adequate for the 4 of us, we had a king size bed and two single beds. One of these beds was a put me up style bed, but this was covered in clean linen. (The first thing I checked!)
The room came with simplistic furniture and it looked uncluttered and fresh with freeview TV, Tea making facilities and space to hang plenty of clothes up.
The room has a small bathroom attached with a Toilet and large shower with a seat inside. My youngest son thought this was amazing so he could rest at the same time as having a shower typical BOY, but it made us laugh!
The boys both required WIFI and the hotel actually had quite a good signal throughout the building, it did go off from time to tim but after a phone call the staff were happy to resest the router which seemed to fix the problem.
We were so tired from the days fun that we decided to order Takeaway and eat in our room and reception were more than happy to provide us with a choice of local Takeaway Menus and more Tea, Coffee and Milk as we needed it as my husband drinks tea and coffee like it’s going out of fashion.
If we hadn’t been so tired and had another busy day ahead the next day we would have definitely sat in the bar area downstairs as it looked so cosy and had people in the bar and restaurantwere enjoying a drink and a quite chat.
After a great relaxing sleep I tried out the shower before breakfast, I hate to say but I was a little disappointed by the performance of the shower as the water pressure seemed very low as it wasn’t the most powerful shower I have used. The toilet flush also had poor as the water pressure seemed low, so I can only presume this was not a regular problem. I told the manager before I left!
At breakfast We were seated straight away and the server went through how breakfast at the premier inn works which I thought was a nice touch and we were asked if we wanted any special orders which my husband and son asked for some poached eggs making.
In the breakfast self-serve area they was an array of fruits, yogurts, toast, crumpets, more cereals than I could count and of course a full cooked breakfast.
There were 3 different fresh fruit juices and teas and coffees including cappuccinos and Lattés, we were certainly spoilt for choice.
We left the Hotel for another day at the gaming event refreshed and rejuvenated after such a pleasant stay in a really relaxed and friendly Hotel.
Plenty of smiles from the HIRST family all round. Premier Inn even offer a ‘great night’s sleep or your money back’ with their Good night Guarantee.
All the above in mind, we had a superb and relaxing stay at the Premier Inn Manchester and would like to thank the staff and management for providing a lovely stay and we would definitely recommend this Hotel in particular for a stay when visiting the Trafford Centre.
(Disclosure: We were sent to the hotel free of charge, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.)
Looks great! I have never stayed in a premier Inn before!
Ive never stayed in a Premier Inn before. Being a family Hotel, did you find it quiet enough on a night? I hate interrupted sleep!
I seriously had a great nights sleep, we were probably the noisy family as we like to stay up pretty late.
