All is bright too, with the new festive lights festooned across the shack, ready for Groobie’s pantomime. Putting the decorations up on the first Sunday of December, playing Christmas carols whilst decorating, really does get us in the festive spirit.
We always decorate our home on the 1st December and always have a traditional turkey dinner!

The kids are allowed to open Santa’s presents in the morning but have to wait until after dinner for the family pressies, mean aren’t we 🙂
Going into the garden to sprinkle reindeer food & look for Santa’s sleigh (ie: the international space station) as it passes overhead with the kids. Then coming inside for hot chocolate while watching a Christmas movie on Christmas Eve.

We all go our local church on Christmas Eve for a nativity service.
christmas eve boxes are our favourite family tradition. We open them, have a shower, into our new pjs and fluffy socks and put our new dvd on and snuggle down on the sofa with some festive snacks 🙂
Every Christmas Eve after tea, we get wrapped up warm and go for a walk in the dark to look for Santa’s sleigh. Sometimes we think we might see him coming in the sky and so race home and to bed so that we are in bed for his arrival.
I always thought ours was all piling in one bed to open our stockings but have just been informed it’s my home made sausage rolls that make xmas

We always keep a small present that is on the tree and can’t be opened till after dinner and also another tradition is that we have a fairy on the tree that has been passed down through the generations and was given to my mum.
We always only open 1 present before breakfast 🙂
I love making the mulled wine and bottling it up, it gets me in the mood for Christmas….. And of course you have to try out a bottle or two beforehand…just to make sure it’s ok!

We buy one new Crristmas decoration for the tree each year. As we are getting older now (!) the tree is quite full.

we always go shopping on Xmas eve,no to buy anything as that’s all done but to see the lights,listen to the music from shops,there’s usually carol singers it’s just so lovely,hot chocolates all round with mince pies then home .Love it
We all get together boxing day, That’s when we also celebrate 2 family birthdays.
We watch a family movie in our new pyjamas on Christmas Eve and leave carrots out for the reindeers and a mince pie and a small whiskey out for Father Christmas. Christmas morning is spent opening the gifts received from Father Christmas, then settling down for a lovely meal and then opening family gifts

my fave christmas tradition is putting out the milk and cookies for santa and the carrot for the reindeer. my son loves it in the morning when they’re gone and he thinks santa ate them 🙂 it’s really cute.
