Parenting | How to Refresh your child’s School stationery

April 1, 2015 | 1 Comment

With the school holidays only a few days away, It is an ideal time to start thinking ahead and checking your children’s school stationery ahead of the new school term.

I know with my son, when I check his pencil case all of his pencils need sharpening, rulers and sharpeners are broken, pens need replacing, his essential school stationery is just a total mess! and he like most kids, tweens and teenagers must think the cleaning fairy has been in to his pencil case and replenished the entire contents magically.

As my son in high school, if they do not have the correct school equipment they are punished with a comment in their School personal planners and 3 comments equals an hours detention!

I do not agree with this, just because a pen is missing or a calculator breaks during a lesson. I cannot alter these rules, but I can make sure my son is fully equipped with his school stationery every new term to save him from panicking. I generally do this as early as possible that way I don’t have to stress too much in the final days before the school holidays end. This means for me at least we can find some other awesome things to do in the school holidays without the worry of last minute shopping.

I have put together a wishlist of my 10 favourite value School Stationery from The Works. All can be purchased on-line and delivered to my home, so I don’t have to drag a Teenager shopping. In my opinion the best part is the price, most of the School Stationery for kids listed below are cheap and suit most budgets. I personally do not like to spend too much money on school equipment because Pens, Pencils, Rubbers and Rulers get lost far to easy and replacing them all year round can add up. So, the more money I save throughout the year the more money I have to spend on my family throughout the holidays because that can cost a small fortune too.
