Yes, you read that right – Goat Simulator! For those of you who don’t know, this game is exactly what it says on the tin, a simulator with a twist: you’re a goat living in a goat world!
Goat Simulator is a hilariously amusing, chaotic game with only one real goal – to allow you to live the goat life you’ve always dreamed of! Only, in the most recent release (Goat Simulator 3) it is now possible for you to get up to mischief with your goat friends! It doesn’t get any better or more bizarre than that.

Endless bleating, headbutting chaos you are free to delve into a world of goat action with a large map set for limitless opportunities and space! At the very beginning of the game, you are in a farmyard. Too normal for you? Don’t worry, it soon becomes a little bit crazy! From there, you are immediately let loose into a world of mayhem with the ability to charge, headbutt, and, simply, cause havoc!

For both myself and my kids, this game is truly the epitome of pure mindless silliness. There are no levels, no goals, no huge objectives – just the simple task of roaming the world like the free-spirited goat we were all meant to be!
While there is only so much of a thrill you can get from headbutting people across a field and driving into buildings, the silliness of the possibilities you are given never truly does wear off. If you prefer a more structured, goal-oriented game? Well, the goats have that covered! The crazy map is scattered with items to collect, small objectives to reach called instincts, and many special events of varied sizes. Whilst this is made to be mindless fun, there are still small aspects that spice the game up to be more than just a crazy goat going mad!
In addition to this, there are countless little “easter egg” gags hidden within the game that is so clever you would almost miss them – if they weren’t hilarious that is. For example, if you happen to bump into a psychiatrist and find that you’re in need of a little bit of goat therapy, you can place yourself on the sofa and the house shrinks! Get it? Because you’ve been to see a shrink? The clever little jokes are all over the place…keep an eye out!
Overall, Goat Simulator is 3 is a bigger, crazier, and more chaotic version of the original – they’ve definitely outdone themselves with this one! It is truly the epitome of silly fun! A stressful time doesn’t stand a chance against this world of mindless chaos that’s for sure!
Between the stresses of daily life, I would highly recommend sitting down with the kids (or by yourself) to just have some time to live happily and problem free in a crazy goat world!
