Review of The Epson EcoTank ET-3600 & Giveaway

December 8, 2016 | 162 Comments

Every modern home needs a printer, for printing everything from train & Cinema tickets to the children’s homework. I also love to use a printer to scan old family photos to upload on social media and share with my friends and family.

I have been using a budget printer, so when I was asked to review the  Epson EcoTank ET-3600 printer I was very excited to see what a difference this would make to printing homework and scanning photos.

Epson EcoTank ET-3600 Review

review-of-the-epson-ecotank-et-3600-giveaway

Normally I use a printer with ink cartridges which can be very expensive to replace and that’s if you can find the right one for your make and model. I was looking forward to trying an EcoTank ink tank printer where you fill up the ink tanks directly from the bottles. All the bottles are colour coordinated with the tanks, and the nozzles are designed to fit neatly into the neck of the tank so spills and mess are practically eliminated.

Review of The Epson EcoTank ET-3600 & Giveaway - Ink Refills

The Epson ET-3600 is a 3-in-1 inkjet model retails at around £400 and comes with two complete sets of ink, which apparently equates to 84 ink cartridges and will print up to 11,000 pages. with a full set of ink refills costing approximately £39, which is fantastic value for money.

I love the speed and print quality. Even in the “normal” setting, this printer produces amazing quality. You can use mobile and tablet printing, the kids really enjoyed printing this way and the quality of their homework improved with the crisp, bright, bold colours.

I just love the scanner, its fast, accurate and crisp.I had fun scanning my photos from when I was a child to share on the computer and social media with my family.
I can honestly say this printer is ideal for families and has made printing and scanning faster and cheaper as it can reduce printing costs by 74% on average.

Key Features

  • Say goodbye to cartridges: Print up to 11,000 pages in black and colour2
  • Ultra low-cost printing: Save 74% on printing costs1
  • Fuss-free maintenance: Easy-refill ink tank system
  • Wi-Fi & Epson Connect: Print on the go from mobile devices
  • 3-in-1 with duplex: Print, copy & scan with double-sided printing

Neither of us are working for the four days over Christmas (un-heard of, as we both work for the NHS), so we have family activities planned across the Christmas weekend. On Christmas Eve we are going to watch a local theatre production of Cinderella with good friends, followed by film night at home (the children will have a new christmas dvd for the occasion). On Christmas day we are staying at home, with visits from Grandparents. The children don’t like roasts, so we will have a ‘party’ lunch and once the children are in bed, we will have our gluten-free, veggie christmas meal. Yum?
boxing day will be for slobbing out (apart from walking the dog) and then on the tuesday bh there is a trip to the pantomime, jack and the beanstalk.

On my own with my dogs. It’s my choice. I split from my partner of 7 years this year and still live with him. He is going to his daughters and I am staying here with the pets. I am moving in January though.

Christmas Day will be spent with hubby. We are hoping to take a picnic to our favourite rspb reserve and enjoy the peace and quiet and the wildlife (weather permitting!) boxing day will be very different with children and grandchildren to cater for. Looking forward to both days.
