September 17, 2015 | 20 Comments

The gaming scene has never been busier! Developers have managed to come up with some awesome upcoming releases starting this month. We are going to show you which video game titles we can’t wait to get our hands on in 2015 and 2016, with our Top 10 upcoming video games list.

You will find a little bit of something for everyone from kids to teens and I am pretty sure there will be a few adults who will be wanting to get hold of some of these titles too. You may also want to check out our kickass games list for 2015 which we wrote about at the begining of the year. This list kind of compliments this post too and you may find some other great titles you may have missed.

This upcoming video games list has been compiled with the help of my son Jake. He is really excited about the titles and he can’t wait to get his hands on some of them.

no man's sky video game

No.1 – No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky by Hello Games is an open world space game with infinitely generating and fully multiplayer worlds! you fly around in space travelling to dynamic and unique worlds with stunning graphics! It currently has no announced release date, though it’s presumed to be within a year’s timespan. Although it’s only for the PC and PS4, this is going to be a real gem.

Lego Dimensions video game

No. 2 – Lego Dimensions

Lego Dimensions by Tt (Traveller’s Tales) is  one of the popular Toys to Life games rises to popularity. You travel between popular ‘Lego Dimensions’ with playable characters being bought from your local gaming or toy store along with supplementary levels! It is releasing in the uk on the 27th of September and as an avid fan of this genre is making me squeal with joy! even though it has become super expensive to purchase them all, I am willing to spend my pocket money on these figures.

Rise of the Tomb Raider video game

No. 3 – Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a sequel to the 2012 reboot of the famous series coming out later in the year. After the massive success of Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix’s reboot of Lara crofts adventures, the bar is raised high for this sequel and from the E3 footage i’ve seen earlier in the year, it’s going to be a sight to behold! Breathtaking visuals and stunning environments have made this a must have game for 2015.

Sea of Thieves

No. 4 – Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves by the legendary developers Rare is a multiplayer Pirate adventure game announced at E3 for a 2016 release date! However, not much is known about it except for the gorgeous visuals and unique art style it incorporates. It has a website here where you can sign up for a newsletter! So look foward for more info on this swashbuckling adventure!

Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes video game

No. 5 – Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes

Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is a 3ds game in the art style of Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds which incorporates 3 player multiplayer where your clothing affects your attacks and abilities and totem pole stacking to reach new heights! It also includes Vehicles with a supercharger paired for each with only 20 Skylanders and 20 Vehicles! For more information, check my previous post on this game!

Xenoblade Chronicles X video game

No. 7 – Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X is the sequel to the highly loved Xenoblade Chronicles, set in a futuristic world where mech suits are used to defend yourself from an alien race! With my recent playthrough of Chronicles on its New 3Ds Port after years of wanting to play it I feel spoiled with two in one year and on the Wii U, it’s safe to say this will be a game of the year!

Fallout 4 video game

No. 8 – Fallout 4

Fallout is the open world series which has made astronomical impacts in the gaming community with its perfect gameplay and a true sense of fright whilst playing in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by nuclear flames. After years of waiting, fallout 4 is releasing in november and i am proud to say i preordered my Pip boy Edition as soon as it was announced! This has been one of the few games that has genuinely made me feel fright even in safe havens and Bethesda are going to save the world a load of trouble with Xbox One Modding! =D It’s just so perfect!

Yooka-Laylee video game

No. 9 – Yooka-Laylee

Yooka-Laylee is a Kickstarted game by Playtonic games, a new studio by Ex Rare employees and is a spiritual successor to one of my favourite games of all time, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie! It will be platforming bliss with a beautiful soundtrack and breathtaking visuals to be released in October 2016! This is going to be a rare title in a glitchy market.

Mighty N.o 9 video game

No. 10 – Mighty N.o 9

Mighty N.o. 9 by Keiji Inafune, the creator of Megaman (aka: The series Capcom hates) and was Kickstarted and made for a release of the 15th of september! It will also have an animated series in Q2 2016 with 26 episodes and will be similar to megaman! You play as Beck, a robot with the ability to copy his opponents powers and with the help of his partner Call will save the world from the Mighty N.o’s, Becks predecessors, who have revolted! It will be a spiritual successor to Megaman and is the first game I’ve preordered on Steam!

What game are you eagerly awaiting in 2015/2016?

That’s a lot of fighting games.

None of us are gamers, in our house, although I do own a wii. I can’t say it’s been set up for about 4 years.

I cannot wait to get my hands on Lego Dimensions, I’m a huge lego game fan and have played all of them since the first harry potter game. I even played the lego city game on the Wii U. The fact that they’ll have play pieces from back to the future and portal just make me want it more! Great post hun. xx
