The gaming scene has never been busier! Developers have managed to come up with some awesome upcoming releases starting this month. We are going to show you which video game titles we can’t wait to get our hands on in 2015 and 2016, with our Top 10 upcoming video games list.
You will find a little bit of something for everyone from kids to teens and I am pretty sure there will be a few adults who will be wanting to get hold of some of these titles too. You may also want to check out our kickass games list for 2015 which we wrote about at the begining of the year. This list kind of compliments this post too and you may find some other great titles you may have missed.
This upcoming video games list has been compiled with the help of my son Jake. He is really excited about the titles and he can’t wait to get his hands on some of them.

No. 3 – Rise of the Tomb Raider
Rise of the Tomb Raider is a sequel to the 2012 reboot of the famous series coming out later in the year. After the massive success of Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix’s reboot of Lara crofts adventures, the bar is raised high for this sequel and from the E3 footage i’ve seen earlier in the year, it’s going to be a sight to behold! Breathtaking visuals and stunning environments have made this a must have game for 2015.
No. 4 – Sea of Thieves

No. 7 – Xenoblade Chronicles X
Xenoblade Chronicles X is the sequel to the highly loved Xenoblade Chronicles, set in a futuristic world where mech suits are used to defend yourself from an alien race! With my recent playthrough of Chronicles on its New 3Ds Port after years of wanting to play it I feel spoiled with two in one year and on the Wii U, it’s safe to say this will be a game of the year!
No. 8 – Fallout 4
Fallout is the open world series which has made astronomical impacts in the gaming community with its perfect gameplay and a true sense of fright whilst playing in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by nuclear flames. After years of waiting, fallout 4 is releasing in november and i am proud to say i preordered my Pip boy Edition as soon as it was announced! This has been one of the few games that has genuinely made me feel fright even in safe havens and Bethesda are going to save the world a load of trouble with Xbox One Modding! =D It’s just so perfect!
No. 9 – Yooka-Laylee
Yooka-Laylee is a Kickstarted game by Playtonic games, a new studio by Ex Rare employees and is a spiritual successor to one of my favourite games of all time, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie! It will be platforming bliss with a beautiful soundtrack and breathtaking visuals to be released in October 2016! This is going to be a rare title in a glitchy market.
No. 10 – Mighty N.o 9

It will be a spiritual successor to Megaman and is the first game I’ve preordered on Steam!
What game are you eagerly awaiting in 2015/2016?
It’s been ages since i’ve played a video game…i don’t even play them on my phone anymore. I actually used to love playing them. My nintendo was the best!!! perhaps I should get involved again…lol!
I used to love tomb raider when i was younger so rise of the tomb raider sounds great!
I’m not overly big into video games myself, but Rise of The Tomb Raider is giving me serious nostalgia, and I really really want it! Thanks for this post, I had no idea there was a new game coming out 🙂 x

I think we may be the only household in ireland with no game console! i was only saying the other day that i really missed the days when i had a playstation, i’d love a game one of these days and these new releases look great.
zelda is a fab game and one that really used to get me engrossed in the adventures. guess i am more of an adventure player than a shoot me up one. the new zelda game looks great.
Not really into video games but i KNOW MY BROTHER WOULD LOVE SOME OF THESE. i always remember when i was younger playing Sega! Brings back memories!x
I can’t rea;lly comment on the game side of things (unless it’s a sega mega drive because i just lived on mine when i was a kid) but great list for those who know what they’re talking about and also for parents ahead of xmas. did get to comic con this year though and that was pretty cool!
Looking forward to Uncharted 4, Assassins Creed Sydicate and WWE 2K16
not much of a gamer, unless the sims count haha, but my brother is always glued to his xbox. It makes shopping for him easier as I can just get him a game, he would like FallOut 4 🙂 x
Awesome games list! Great to see a reboot of Lara Croft.. I wonder if this one will let you lock the old butler in the freezer! 😛 Also a huge Zelda fan, had it on Nintendo and it was awesome. Some excellent looking games coming up!
That’s a lot of fighting games.
None of us are gamers, in our house, although I do own a wii. I can’t say it’s been set up for about 4 years.
wow what a list of games, I wouldnt have a clue about gaming but then my kiddies are small yet, im sure with two teenage boys in your house you have to well up on gaming
My brother is a huge gamer and will most likely preorder everything on that list. My Husband can just about play fifa. I beat him once! Im hoping to keep lamb away from computer games for as long as possible.
This is a brilliant list with the run up to Christmas. I’ll be coming back to this list when it comes to getting some present ideas
I must admit gaming is not my thing my parents WEREN’T fans of letting us play these so I never had much access to them. We don’t let our girls Watch TV really either So I guess these titles won’t mean much to ME WHEN they Drop!
This is a great list if you have gamers to buy for for Christmas. My gran (yes gran) is a massive Zelda fan so I think I will be getting this one for her for CHRISTMAS for sure! xxx
I cannot wait to get my hands on Lego Dimensions, I’m a huge lego game fan and have played all of them since the first harry potter game. I even played the lego city game on the Wii U.
