John Frieda Frizz Ease Makes you a little bit less Miss scary. well, Maybe not that Scary hopefully! but you get the picture. Now you know what my boys have to put up with seeing me like this on most mornings.
Over the last few weeks I have been trying out products from the John Frieda Frizz Ease Range. I have very frizzy hair that doesn’t seem to want to be straight or curly hair, instead it likes to be somewhere in-between.
I have to really work at my hair to either get it poker straight or nice and curly, If I left it to dry naturally or even just with a hair dryer I end up with a head full of frizz!
John Frieda Frizz Ease: Go Curlier 48 hr Curls Heat-Activated Spray
I tried out the Frizz Ease Go Curlier Heat activated spray, which claims to give me Heat protection as well as salon-smooth curls that last up to 48 hours.
I am curious to see how this hair can be transformed, saying that I am always happy to try new things in the hope they can transform my unruly hair into smooth and shiny locks!
After Washing , conditioning and slightly towel drying my hair, I applied the Heat Activated spray to my hair. The instructions tell you to use between 10-16 sprays, Using more or less depending on your hair length and thickness.I used 16 sprays as I have thick hair and quite long in length.
The next step is to dry your hair with a hair dryer with a diffuser attached. Half an hour later I now had curly hair, yet not as curly or nearly as perfect as the girl on the box. On the instructions it does tell you to finish with curling tongs for the best result. Out came my curling wand and away I went sectioning and curling my hair in small sections.
I appeared 45 minutes later with hair that resembled the photos on the packaging, I was extremely happy with the results, yet not so happy with how long it took to get them!
Now was the real test, would these curls actually last for 48 hours, 2 whole days and 2 nights in bed, surly the curls could not stay as good as this.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Range Result
One Happy frizz free lady, The curls did stay and the frizz banished. The curls did not stay as perfect, but no one can perform miracles. I was happy with the look and the length of time my hair stayed lovely and curly for. I did add a couple of curls in over the 2 days, but only a quick 5 minute touch up was needed to have my hair styled lovely again.
My only negative point is you still have to blow dry your hair and then with hair as frizzy as mine use curling tongs or a wand to get the perfect finish.It is not a quick fix, but it does give the results it claims to as long as you follow the instructions correctly and take the time to style our hair.
Frizz Ease Unwind Curls Calming Creme
The Frizz Ease Calming Creme claims to transform undefined and unruly into controlled and curly
Once again, you apply this product to wet or damp hair, place a small amount of the creme into the palm. Rub your hands together and work through the hair. Unlike the Go Curlier spray you do not have to use heat to activate this product. I decided to apply this to my hair and slightly scrunch my hair with my hands before leaving my hair to dry naturally just to see what result would be achieved in this way.
The Frizz Ease Unwind Curls Calming Creme Result
When normally leaving my hair to dry naturally, I wake up to some sort of birds nest hair style, well if you can call it a style a mixture of curls and frizz. I was very pleased to find after using the Unwind Calming Creme my hair had a natural, soft, loose curl with very minimal frizz to it.
A relaxed style I could actually leave the house without people looking at my bed head style! I did try using this on a second occasion when I had a little bit more time, only this time finishing the look using a curling wand on my hair. To achieve the natural look I curled my hair in larger sections and from the ear down. I left the top of my hair natural to give a very relaxed boho style look, This I was very pleased with and it only took 15 minutes to achieve!
John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir
There are quite a few products on the shelves now with Argan oil in, so I was intrigued to try the John Frieda Oil Elixir to see just how it compared to some of the other Argan oil products out there. It can be pretty overwhelming when shopping for new hair products as they are so many products out there that claim to smooth and nourish the hair.
The Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir claims to Transform Frizz into Fabulous Styles. It nourishes and blocks Frizz for 50% smoother and healthier hair.
The John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir Results
This is a very straightforward and simple product to use, you simply dispense 1 pump of oil, rub your hands together and work through wet hair making sure you avoid the root area. You can style your hair curly or straight using this product.
I decided to blow dry my hair straight and finish using the straighteners. I cannot express to you enough how fantastic this product is, It left my hair frizz free, smooth and actually feeling and looking like salon finished hair.
I would recommend applying a drop more of this product to dry hair after styling to smooth any frizz that may be left and to leave your hair looking stunning and shining!
If there was just one product I have used so far that I would recommend 100% it would be this The Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir

I have problems with my granddaughter’s hair. Very fine but frizzy. . It takes me an hour or two to untangle them. She is only 4. . Are John Freida products suitable for kids? Kids 2-in-1 aveeno doesn’t really help. For now, I’m using baby oil to untangle them. But it doesn’t look good after. Thank you!
1 to 2 hours is such a long time, I feel for both of you. My little one has gotten used to me detangling her that she is pretty good about it now unless she is really tired. I use adult products on my child’s hair as the kid’s ones just don’t cut it.
I have tried the Frizz Ease range too and loved it….It really works!

My hair is always wild and out of control which is why it typically stays in a bun or whatever you want to call the “mom-updo” the majority of the time even when I am at work. I will need to try some of this!

wow, must try these, especially the calming creme. Like you, I have thick, frizzy hair and takes ages to straighten, but if I leave it, it’s a frizzy hair ball! your hair looks amazing in the first pic, but I couldn’t do with spending that amount of time on my hair!

My daughters and I all have really frizzy (or “fluffy” as we sometimes call it) hair so these reviews were interesting to read. The oil sounds worth a try but did it make your feel feel greasy at all? Only we bought a different make of oil last year and it was dreadful, looked like we needed to wash our hair.
Love John Freida! I have naturally wavy hair and if I run some JF serum through my hair when it is wet and leave it, I get lovely frizz free curls or if I run some JF serum thought my hair then blow dry and straighten, I get poker straight hair that lasts!

Your hair looks lovely in the pictures both curly and straight. I’m too a big fan of John Frieda products, particularly Frizz Ease as I l have naturally wavy hair. Love that Boots and Superdrug nearly always have offers like 3 for 2 on the range.

I bought some frizz ease for my daughter (think hermione Granger hair in the original Harry potter) She absolutely loves it. It seemed costy at first, but you only need such a tiny amount that it’s really good value.
