Aladdin at the Alhambra Theatre Bradford

Aladdin at the Alhambra Theatre Bradford

This outstanding star-studded production contained all the traditional pantomime ingredients. It was colourful, lively and had something for adults and children alike.

I took along three children ranging from six to eleven years, each one was so excited, especially my eldest who is a massive Chico fan and thanks to the Alhambra theatre, has become a huge Billy Pearce fan. Whilst most children are fans of pop stars and film stars, Billy Pearce is his idol!

Every year the Alhambra has the pantomime that we always look forward to seeing, whatever the theme we always know Billy Pearce and the cast will deliver and have us in stitches with jokes for the kids and some just for the adults, although my eldest who is 11 is starting to get the Adult jokes too!

The legend of the pantomimes Billy Pearce, returned as the star of the show Aladdin, joined by the sultry singer and a sure-fire favourite for all the mum’s the almighty Chico, as slave of the Ring.

Masasahi Fujimoto played the emperor, Adam Stafford as Widow Twankey and acrobatics from The Acromaniacs as The Chinese Policemen.

The stage is also shared with a 20 foot long talking snake, a snorting gorilla and a flying carpet, Every year the special effects get bigger and better, the flying carpet had the kids jaws touching the floors. You will love the range of stunts on display, from sword fighting to a hilarious song-and-dance routine that involves a little surprise for the audience.

With special effects that involved plenty of audience participation, the kids were so excited and maybe a teensy little bit alarmed to see a mammoth gorilla appear on the stage. Bananas were passed into the audience to use to help save the day against the gorilla!

Alladin

Add some fantastic music, singing, dancing and that very Famous Chico song thrown in, and you have the perfect recipe for a show stopping Christmas Pantomime.

I have seen many pantomimes with my family, but we still return to the Alhambra in Bradford year after year, as we always know with Billy Pearce on board we are destined to have a magical night.

Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, you can be sure of spectacular sets, beautiful costumes, comedy and lots of audience participation.

Alladin

Aladdin is a spectacular feast of amazing special effects and glorious moments with an all-star cast who truly make this classic adventure come to life. Character casting has been well thought through and this shows throughout the entire performance, so a massive well done to everyone involved and I do look forward to coming back next year to see next years amazing production
