I love a real fire, cosy in the winter adding warmth and ambience to a room. A real fire to have installed was costly and not achievable for me to have in my home with no chimney. When I came across a company called imaginfires that sell Bioethonal Fires and Fireplaces that dont need a chimney so totally achievable for my needs.
What is a Bioethanol Fire?

Biofires use an environmentally friendly bioethanol fuel which will give you a real flame and real heat! There’s no chimney required, no flue to install, no cables to connect and no mains power needed. Bioethanol fuels burns with 98% efficiency, so its clean burning with no unpleasant residue. Biofires give off real heat from a real flame. Nothing artificial and you can adjust the flame size or heat output on most of the real flame bioethanol fireplaces.

I choose the Howarth biofire which is very stylish and sits comfortably in the corner of my living room adding a gentle atmosphere, with that real flame, cosy feeling. Its perfect on an evening when my children are in bed and I can get cosy in my pj’s reading a book with the most perfect ambient surroundings. I’m so excited for winter now when its snowing outside but feeling cosy inside with my new fire.
You can choose a freestanding biofire like I did or if you prefer they do a great selection of wall mounted fireplaces too. For a traditional look you could opt for the Holborn suite

If your prefer a more contemporary look in your home you could place the Marlow Fireplace in a kitchen, bedroom or living room for the ultimate in style.

Are Bioethanol Fires Expensive to Run?
Once the biofire itself has been purchased, you only need bioethanol fuel to keep your bioethanol fireplace running, which is also available through Imaginfires. The cost of bioethanol fuel per litre is £2 to £5, one litre lasts 3.5 to 4 hours. so the hourly cost of running a bioethanol fireplace is between £0.50 to £1.25. Although the cost of running a biofire is lower than many assume, it should be remembered that biofires are not intended to replace your main heating source, e.g. central heating. They are instead for occasional use to create a lovely atmosphere in your home, with real heat from a real warming flame.
*Disclaimer – I was sent this fire for my honest thoughts*
