Jet Away from the Cold This Winter

Do you want to escape the dull winter and enjoy the sun during the coldest months of the year? There are plenty of pretty destinations to visit where you don’t have to be wearing your puffer coat and shivering in the cold. If you’re looking for sun-kissed winter destinations, then here are the best places to jet away from the cold this winter season.

India

The winter months in India aren’t cold and the weather is pretty reliable throughout, making this South Asian country a perfect place to travel to for your winter holiday. Be it exploring the warm deserts, the tropical beaches or the vast plains, India has lots to offer; the vast cities offer a myriad of attractions and interests. From the mesmerizing Rajasthan to pristine Kerala, from the tropical beaches of Goa to the heritage sites of Tamil Nadu, India will never cease to amaze you.

Vietnam

In Vietnam, whilst there is a rainy season, the tropical climate means that it is warm all year round. Vietnam makes for the perfect holiday destination as it offers the perfect combination of stunning weather, amazing culture and delicious cuisine. When planning your holiday to Vietnam, be sure to visit Moc Chau Plateau, famous for its stunning beauty and Nha Trang, an area shrouded in beautiful coastlines and some of the oldest temples in Vietnam. From exploring the historic sites, to getting lost in the busy Hanoi streets or enjoying the limestone scenery at the Halong Bay, Vietnam makes for a dreamy winter holiday destination.

Sri Lanka

Bestowed with a rich culture, bewitching coastlines and an abundance of natural beauty, Sri Lanka is a holiday hotspot all year round. Known to be the home to some of the best beaches in the world, Sri Lanka is a must visit for those wanting to get rid of their winter blues. From surfing on the playful waves in Meddawatta or Mirissa, to exploring the white sandy beaches in Hikkaduwa, to hiking through the green mountains and witnessing the wildlife at Yala National Park… Sri Lanka certainly comes packed with activities and adventures.

Australia

Another great destination for escaping the winter chills and enjoying a year-round summer is Australia. Australia has endless amounts of exciting activities on offer, such as taking in the sites of Sydney, enjoying the arty culture of Melbourne, visiting the waterfalls in Kakadu, travelling to the iconic white beaches of Whitsunday islands and diving in the Great Barrier Reef… just to name a few!

Cuba

Ever fancied travelling to Cuba? If so, winter is in fact considered to be the ideal time; this Caribbean country is one of the most popular destinations to enjoy the winter sun. Thanks to the broad sunny beaches on the north coast, its cities rich with architecture, cultural heritage and mythology, Cuba turns out to be the ideal winter escape. From colonial architecture to vibrant squares and sun-kissed yellow sands, Cuba is a must this year!

Choosing to visit any of the destinations mentioned above during the coldest months can offer you longer days, blue skies and fantastic weather. So, get your bags packed and head for the airport to chase the sunshine!
