My family and I were sent a tube of Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Gum Protection toothpaste, to try out and report what we discovered.

My son made an Advert for Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Gum Protection toothpaste, You must watch this very funny clip!

Going to the dentist for is far easier than a trip to the hairdressers, ever since my children were toddlers they have sat in the dentists room whilst I had a clean or a filling, I always made sure I put a big thumbs up if I could not speak hoping they would never be afraid of the dentist. My wn mother had been so scared of visiting the dentist that she had avoided appointments for years, because of this she has now lost 4 teeth due to poor gum health.

I have always made sure my families dental health is top of the list of my priorities. I am proud to say my son who is 11 years old has never had a filling and has regular check up’s and see’s the hygienist every six months for his routine clean and polish.

My eldest son has also never missed an appointment, our a clean and scale. He has however not been so lucky with his dental health. He is turning 17 next month, yet has only just got his canine teeth this year a whopping 5 years too late.

After many appointments with the orthodontist, they found his canine teeth were coming down in the wrong direction, they decided to wait 12 months in hope they found their way.

When they didn’t make an appearance an operation was the only option, he had to go to the Dental hospital and be put to sleep, he had his gums slit open to expose the teeth and eventually a few months later they arrived, a little out-of-place, but still it was a step in the right direction.

The next step was a brace, yet after some unfortunate experiences with his dentist who let my son down badly and lack of communication between the dental hospital and his own dentist, he will have to wait until his dental health is in better condition before a brace can be fitted.I completely understand why this is, he was refused a clean by his own dentist ( who was new) even though the orthodontist had written to request this. He does have plaque build up around his bottom gum line especially, partly due to the refusal of a clean and partly to do with drinking fizzy drinks and not brushing his gums!

Finding the new Oral-B Pro Expert gum protection toothpaste through my door, could not have come at a better time.

What results we are hoping for from this Toothpaste

My eldest son has until January to prove he can get his teeth in shipshape condition if he is to be considered for a brace.

My youngest son needs to keep up the work with a good brushing technique and a toothpaste which provides him with Fluoride to protect against cavities.

For me, as well as protecting against cavities, I love the fact it helps protect sensitive teeth as the Stannous Fluoride blocks the tubes relieving sensitivity . As I have M.E I do experience a great amount of sensitivity with both my teeth and gums.

For my husband, he was drawn to the fact it helps protect against enamel loss and leaves your breath smelling great

The Results

I am ecstatic to say my eldest son’s gums are now transformed, he now has teeth and gums that I am proud to show off to the dentist. When they see his new improved gums they will definitely be fitting a brace. This is his last chance to Wow them, the alternative is being  taken off the waiting list for good.

Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Gum Protection toothpaste is fantastic value for money and I can say hand on my heart amazing for looking after your gum health, as well as having many other amazing talents.

As a Teenager it has also improved his confidence,he had started to hide his smile away, all locked up as he was too ashamed of people seeing his teeth with the flaws and plaque build u.Now I have seen him smile and look happy to show off his new fresh, clean and healthy gums and frankly…Things can only get better.

Since day one of using this toothpaste the sensitivity of my teeth has greatly improved, I even had an ice cream last week for the first time in as long as I can remember.

My husband has noticed his gums have stopped bleeding, he has great smelling breath and generally his gums look alive again, more pink and healthy.

As a family we are Loving our gums and thanks to Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Gum Protection toothpaste, we are giving them a little TLC

My sister is six months pregnant so I decided I would give her and readers of my blog some advice for how to deal with bleeding gums during pregnancy.

Some women get swollen and sore gums, which may bleed, in pregnancy. Bleeding gums are caused by a build-up of plaque (bacteria) on the teeth. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can make your gums more vulnerable to plaque, leading to inflammation and bleeding

Keeping teeth and gums healthy in pregnancy

clean your teeth carefully twice a day for two minutes

avoid having sugary drinks (such as fizzy drinks or sweet tea) and sugary foods too,

Avoid Mouthwashes that contain alcohol

Morning sickness contains an acid in the vomit which can attack teeth, avoid brushing your teeth for at least an hour afterwards

The message for anyone out there young or old is to take care of your Teeth & gums, give them a little TLC with  Oral-B.
