Sun-Pat healthy & Easy Recipes

December 21, 2016 | 3 Comments

This week I’ve found myself collaborating and working alongside Sun-Pat on their Fuel Your Dreams Campaign. I have dreams and aspirations in life myself; however, I feel this is somewhat much more relatable to my eldest son’s life & thoughts, and you’ll find out why!
My son’s philosophy in life is that a healthy body and a healthy mind brings greatness, positivity and success (regarding you put in the work!). But for that to be possible, you have to have lot’s of things in check, and yes, nutrition is one of them!

Throughout my son’s life in education, he has always shown a keen interest in 2 very different subjects. One being Graphic Design and the other being Fitness/Personal Training. He pursued them both because two options in life are way better than one and learning new skills is essential to a healthy brain. In fact, he has recently just successfully got his first full-time job as a designer which I’m over the moon about and it shows that you can achieve what you set your mind to!
He wasn’t always the fittest of children when he was younger, he didn’t like many sports besides tennis and was just lucky enough to find love in the Gym which completely changed his life! He lost over five stone over the course of 2 years, which I am sure you will agree is very impressive and I am a very proud parent.
As he’s a gym-addict I thought I would approach him about Sun-Pat and their peanut butter and he instantly knew the brand and what they sold. Before I knew it, he was already telling me all about why it’s important to have Sun-Pat in your diet! Peanut Butter contains lots of fat, which is negatively looked upon, However, Natural fats are essential to your diet to keep your body functioning healthily, and providing you with that much-needed energy to get through the day and to smash your goals! Sun-Pat peanut butter is his go-to ingredients in 95% of his breakfast meals! It helps him get up and go, full of energy for a long day at work, followed by a session at the gym.
Eating Sun-Pat on a morning or as a mid-day snack is great! It provides your body with slow releasing energy when your body needs it the most which is why I’ve decided to show you a few of mine and my sons favourite Sun-Pat recipes!
This is a Protein porridge mix which has a teaspoon of Sun-Pat within it to thicken it all up and to provide your body with all the essential goodness’ peanut butter has to offer (along with the mouthwatering taste!).

Another example is a little more unique but just as gorgeous, this is the American style hand-made peanut butter burger. Sounds strange, I know but you can’t knock it until you try it yourself.

Overall, this week has been a bit of an eye opener for me! Learning that Sun-Pat peanut butter is a slow releasing source of energy to keep me full for longer which can make those diets more bearable! And that you shouldn’t be scared of having healthy fats in your diet!

Nice photos. I always struggle to think of what to do with Peanut Butter, bar spread it on toast with Jam. I love it. There is a restaurant near us that does a burger with peanut butter on, which I have been tempted many times to try.
